I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Ability to advance if you are willing to get advanced certification ie CFA. If you are in management (director level) or supervisor, at least from what I witnessed, is that these positons seem to have limited responsibilites. I worked in a very small group of people, and I was neither a supervisor or director, but this is simply what I witnessed over the course of 5 years.

    Cons

At least in my experience, you will be entrenched in your positon unless you are willing to get some type of advanced certification beyond the usual series 7. In fact while I worked there for 5 years, there wasn't a single person that left our department to go to another department.
Not that I felt my immediate management was poor, quite the contrary, they were capable and fair. However, I felt stuck in my position and quite frankly thought I was more than capable of advancing and actually being of more value to the company, but there was really no path in place to achieve this, other than going the CFA route. Or at least no type of advancement path was ever presented as an option.

    Advice to Management

Make employees more aware of paths of advancement and how to achieve theses goals. I worked there 4 years ago, so things may have changed or as previously mentioned, it could have just been my department.

I worked at Bank of America (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Competitive pay and or benefits

    Cons

Sales driven, pretend to be service oriented... not so. Make sales quotas for 32 months , then miss 3 months and fired shortly thereafter.

    Advice to Management

Do not pretend to value employees. Your daily morning threats to all employees not making their goals that upcoming day..... is an embarassment to USA, rename yourself as Bank of Iraq/Iran/ISIS
