I worked at Bank of America part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Worked there part time, managers worked with my school schedule and were very flexible when it came to the schedule. Off on holidays, benefits were decent, able to purchase additional days off

    Cons

Tellers were forced to get referrals and harass customers. Offered pressured to make people sign up for accounts and credit cards but never received commission while the personal bankers received credit. If the bank didn't meet goals due to a few people unable to balance the cash and others not meeting goals we lost out on bonuses and raises which was absurd. Work there 2 years and never received a raise insane

    Advice to Management

Offer incentives for tellers to do more than their job description. Stop having people be harassed no wonder why BOA is at the bottom of the barrel

I have been working at Bank of America (More than a year)

    Pros

Job is available to anyone in sales. Will learn a ton about the banking industry. Pay is good if coming from retail.

    Cons

Training program is lacking. Seems to be a different program month to month when I speak to new hires. Most learning will be on your own. Quick to hold accountable, slow to coach

    Advice to Management

Try to coach consistently, not only when the numbers are bad. Help those who are struggling, not just attempt to replace them.

  3. "Decent foundation"

I worked at Bank of America part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good place to start in order to get experience. Being a teller opens up a lot of different possibilities in different career fields

    Cons

Low pay for what you go through as a teller, also too focused on customer engagement rates and selling products that are hard to explain

    Advice to Management

Do more for the foot soldiers that are on the front lines dealing with the customers, more appreciation for the tellers would be nice
