I have been working at Bank of America full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fantastic employee benefits to include not only wages/salaries but health, time off, child care reimbursement

    Cons

Very political atmosphere, to get ahead you have to know the right people and be in the right place at the right time. Sales goals are obtainable but the sales process is very scripted and structured. Cater more for wealthy clients and no local ownership. Great vision; want to give clients only what they need but still require the sales goals so in the end still feel like you need to upsell something the client may... not want/need.

I worked at Bank of America full-time

    Pros

Great salarY! One of the highest paying employers in the financial industry.

    Cons

Meeting goals are the only priority. They don't care about their customers, only their customers' money. Not much opportunity for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Take an interest in employees goals and help develop them.

I have been working at Bank of America for more than 5 years

    Pros

Offer a lot of benefits that you may not get at other companies such as child care reimbursement

    Cons

Even with all of the benefits they are not geared towards their employers and helping them move to the next point in their career

    Advice to Management

Make a point to focus on the needs of your people. If your employees are happy your customers are happy

I have been working at Bank of America full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great benefits and pay is competitive. That's about it the rest is all production oriented and focus is on widget sales instead of long term relationships

    Cons

Work life balance is out of whack with Saturday banking requiring 4-5 on and 1 off usually. You hardly ever have 2 days off together to recharge. Difficult to navigate service areas when you're trying to help a customer. Corporate strategy doesn't translate down to branches as all local management cares about is the sales interaction vs doing the right thing for customer in long run
