    Negative Outlook

    I have been working at Bank of America as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

    Rates and that the pace can be as slow as you like. Even of you do nothing at all as long as you say you do thats tolerated.

    Cons

    Not adopting latest practises or standards in IT industry.
    Resistance to change towards better standards
    Employing based on budget burning and not needs or skill
    The people that make decisions care more about their position than actually delivering something of quality
    Management presence and involvement is sporadic

    Advice to Management

    Good people make good teams. Average people make average teams that cost when it comes down to delivery.

    I worked at Bank of America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Personal purchase deliveries allowed;
    Pleasant security, cleaners, catering staff.

    Cons

    As a contractor you are easily disposable with minimal notice;
    High staff turn over;
    Antiquated systems/technology and procedures;
    Filthy Newgate office with awful and insufficient facilities;
    Non diverse - team I was in had no men and no wheel chair access to the floor workspace which means they could never offer a job based there to someone who is a wheelchair user or has other mobility challenges.

    Advice to Management

    Meh!
