I worked at Bank of America part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Always so much to learn on the job, many opportunities for career advancement, people were so great and always so much fun to work with.

    Cons

Some of the regulations working at a bank are cumbersome. The tasks can be very menial and repetitive, get boring after a while.

    Advice to Management

While management is actually pretty good, my advice would be to let go of some of the restrictions, and let their employees off on their own a bit, give them more freedom.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The best part of working at BAML was the work/life balance. I enjoyed being able to work conveniently and also to be challenged. I was able to work with different groups and get different perspectives of various business functions.

    Cons

I did not like how there was quite a bit of hierarchy. To get things done, it felt like a government company with lots of red tape to cross. I also did not like how the company keeps on moving people around from midtown to downtown, etc.

    Advice to Management

To keep on giving challenging tasks to the new joiners and also to help everyone at the company get a high level overview of projects to understand the impacts on the markets and the company.
