    Pros

I absolutely loved working here! I only left the job due to a move to a location where there wasn't a local branch. This was my first official office job and the people and atmosphere were amazing! Loved it!

    Cons

I wish there were more locations :) Other than that I really have no complaints at all. It was a solid company.

    Advice to Management

Please continue to do exactly what you are doing right now. You guys are excellent employers and truly treat your employees like customers.

    Pros

Higher pay than other jobs in the area (I worked in Orono, Maine), and frequent bonuses and prizes

    Cons

Required you to push sales of additional products on people that they didn't need and ripped people off with high interest rates.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Ok pay, decent benefits, you occasionally got to do some good for the customer.

    Cons

Virtually no support from management at any level. Rules are very selectively interpreted. Advancement is entirely socially based, and directly inverse to actual ability. Awards and recognition are never given based on merit, but which friends they're grooming for advancement. Most employees aren't seen as people, but utterly disposable resources to be burned out and replaced with a lower wage entry level workers.

    Advice to Management

If you make it a point to constantly speak with terms like "meritocracy" and "think of yourself as the customer", people notice more when the actual practices and operation are the exact opposite of that. Review the performance of those being given the advancement and compare it against the metrics list and you'll start to notice a pattern. Most of the other employees already have, and it causes morale issues.

  4. "Good pay, terrible job."

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    Pay and benefits were great.
Environment was good, but mostly only because of fellow employees, not management.
    That's about it.

    Cons

They treat you like little kids.
Constantly changing things around, moving people from departments and moving your seat to try and change the environment.

    Advice to Management

Change isn't always a good thing.
Just because you pay well doesn't mean you can treat your employees like small children.
