I have been working at Bank of America as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Huge organization, looks good on your CV, good work life balance, relax work place.

    Cons

Slow moving, low pay because of cheap vendor companies, can take as long as one month to set up your computer and access. intermixed access review system, lots of confusion. If you are a fresher I don't recommend you to join as developer.

    Advice to Management

Lot of resource wastage, restructuring and process change required.

I worked at Bank of America full-time

    Pros

Worked at the retirement benefits call center.
    Good benefits and good training.

    Cons

High call volume, high employee turnover in this department. Overworked and underpaid.

    Advice to Management

Increase pay to the reps at the call center considering how busy it is, this would probably decrease the employee turnover.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Tech group: Good medical and dental benefits, 401K, vacation & sick time

    Cons

Hard to get ahead unless you brown-nose and work extra hours for no reason, varies depending on your group, working conditions unfair (3 people to a cubicle?!), childcare center (fees went up after bank parted ways with Bright Horizons subsidy), not enough property management to keep bathrooms clean and kitchenette clean, not enough healthy options at dining hall

    Advice to Management

Provide more engaging solutions to get feedback from your employees

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Good location
    Good benefits
    Good work environment

    Cons

No room to move up if you are very good at your job.
You get treated just like everyone else who doesn't do their job 1/4 as well as you do.
If you go ABOVE and BEYOND your call of duty, you don't get rewarded. You can do the bare minimum and get the same compensation.

    Advice to Management

Give people who are very skilled a bump in pay or a promotion or they will leave.
