I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, good pay, will play nice when it suits them

    Cons

No line of business knows what the others are doing on more than a conceptual basis. When a new high level manager comes in whats out, they'll change things simply to CHANGE things.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Loved the work. Great benefits, paid time off and location was easily accessible. Good team leadership most of the time.

    Cons

Small team, not much room for advancement in that dept. Lazy coworkers didn't pull their weight and there were no repercussions.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention. Value your good employees don't take them for granted.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay. That is about it.

    Cons

Micromanagement, excessively high expectations, company already has tarnished name, doesn’t know direction (ex customer service excellence, or meeting sales.) poor management, dated computer systems, angry clients

    Advice to Management

Update computer systems, employees need the technological tools to exceed. Lessen expectations, we’re not uncovering “life priorities” when pushing credit cards down people’s throats. Understand that the clients done need us, we need the clients,

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Lots of jobs and benefits are good.

    Cons

Just a cog in the big wheel

    Advice to Management

Increase raises. You are better off leaving and coming back at a higher salary, than just staying put and being a subject matter expert.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits are some of the best around. Inexpensive health insurance, lots of life insurance options, tuition reimbursement, 16 weeks paid maternity and paternity leave. Employer 401k match

    Cons

Too many metrics, reports, too many data crunchers micromanaging everything. Constant changes yet cannot keep up with fast and ever changing mortgage industry. Nearly impossible to close a loan on time, the fulfillment partners would rather decline and cancel loans than fund them. Still very much us vs them mentality in fulfillment versus sales.

    Advice to Management

Ease up on all of the requirements for the loan officers, and let them sell. Increase their compensation

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

They do not expect much overtime. Chandler AZ location had a dining facility, gym, and parking garage. Decent hourly raises, and competitive 401k plan.

    Cons

Micro managed. Bonus structure always went down. Processing is frustrating.

    Advice to Management

Do not need so many managers, increase bonus pay for staff.

    Pros

medical benefits are awesome ... a lot to offer in all categories.

    Cons

great if you are not in a production job.

    Advice to Management

The BIG push is Customer Experience ... if you can do it in under 2 mins per customer... Sr Management has NO idea how to do the small mans job ,,,,##### is all they thing about . not every phone call is cookie cutter simple.
