I worked at Bank of America full-time

    Pros

Over my 15 plus years employed with Bank of America I worked with some of the most amazing people, we all encouraged each other to excel and we all worked as a team to coach each other in what areas we could work on to improve. There was always opportunities for advancement, benefits were excellent, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, paid holidays and great hours overall!

    Cons

A lot of management positions that were posted the bank decided to not hire from within. A lot these new hire (new to Bank of America) associates I felt were not qualified and bank spent valuable time training them when they should have taken on the role the first day of the position to begin to service our clients and work on a team. Policy changes that were not effectively discussed with associates and this direct...

I worked at Bank of America full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Salaried position with a sizable bonus at the end of each quarter, private office available in most cases, pretty decent pay, a hybrid of banking and investment products sales job - pretty rewarding

    Cons

Questionable sales and products practices, pretty much all customers are lured into the same managed money strategies, no one cares about their individual preferences - bank makes tons of money doing that, but it might not be the best solution for most of their clients. Unethical job...

    Advice to Management

Leave more room for FSA to determine independently, what fits their customers, what doesn't. I felt OK in the beginning of my tenure there - yr. 2014, but later on the management changes lead into much bigger issues, experienced quite a bit of discrimination based on my national origin as well as religion, now decided to go ahead and sue the institution due to that bank's improper internal policies. Will never advise...

I have been working at Bank of America

    Pros

Great benefits, you earn what you make of it. Management uses KPI's to curb behavior but doesn't micro-manage.

    Cons

Not much movement in management, so advancement is bleak.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Benefits and lots of holidays off, the clients can be very sweet.

    Cons

The sales is soul crushingly hard with goals you can almost never achieve and will fire you if you don't meet, they take customer service far too seriously to a standard no one can really meet, the company told me sales isn't a big thing and it's ok if you don't always get it but my boss had hourly talks with us all how to improve our sales and why are we not meeting our goals every day and told us we can be fired if...

    Pros

Improve my communication skills Love working with my team Great employees' benefits Lots of learning experience and very happy helping customers to have won-win situation

    Cons

Training are intensive, long and boring. The high sales' goal may create stress and induce sales-focused situation when bankers focus on their goals only but neglecting services

    Advice to Management

The company should increase more on ground training rather than computer-based training Focus more on relationship banking to retain customers rather than sales
