I worked at Bank of America
Pros
Good training, and guidance from management
Cons
none that are specifiable at this time
I have been working at Bank of America full-time for more than 6 years
Pros
More plentiful for entry to midlevel positions.
Cons
Advanced positions/opportunities are not granted on merit or skillset. More weight is placed on who you know than what your know, and whether or not you happen to be in a highly visible area.
Advice to Management
Live out the values you preach. Don't ask for feedback when you have no intention of considering that feedback.

I have been working at Bank of America for more than 2 years
Pros
Progressive company trying to stay on the leading edge of technology and beat options for customers.
Cons
Employees are not considered when making decisions that have no bearing on the success of the company. Recent efforts to end the MyWork program have created a lot of dissatisfaction. It makes no sense for me to work in an office 35 miles from home with NOT ONE of my peers or direct reports. The space probably costs $1000 a month for the bank when they were paying $100 for my internet and phone bills. Additionally, I will...

Reach out to your top performers before making decisions that could end up with you saying goodbye to great talent, even after 20 years of employment.
I worked at Bank of America full-time for more than 4 years
Pros
I worked on the mrgage side during the time of the rubber stamping crisis. The good thing about my time there was that I was exposed to a variety of projects ranging from technology to finance.
Cons
The negatives of my time there was the consistant reorganizations. I never had the same manager from one year to the next. The musical chairs led to low employee morale and high turnover.

Pros
Equitable Compensation, the company invests in employee growth and offers training opportunities.
Cons
Recently making cut backs and I was laid off with very little notice, but it happens at all companies

I have been working at Bank of America full-time for more than 2 years
Pros
Very good benefits, free parking and my immediate colleagues are wonderful. I am blessed to have the best coworkers that I have ever worked with.
Cons
The legacy Countrywide division of Bank of America (BPG) is an absolute sweatshop! They micromanage to the absolutes extreme, the workloads are very excessive, deadlines are unrealistic, and they constantly bug you for status updates. Management expects associates to work late nights, weekends and even on your vacations and holidays. And you get nothing in return for your hard work (except more work of course). Raises...

Start appreciating the efforts of you associates (or even knowing who they are - they have names and faces, not just employee numbers). You have a lot of very talented people working for you that are working extremely hard for not recognition or incentive. Also, hire more people and stop abusing your employees by working them to death and burning them out!
