I have been working at Bank of America full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great work life balance. Strong C-Level leadership and ability to manage organizational change management.

    Cons

Not a lot of career growth in Middle-Market commercial banking as a Sr. Relationship Manager. Only 2 Market Executive positions in DFW. Lack of understanding of emerging markets and VC backed technology companies.

    Advice to Management

Be more open minded about technology and how it’s changing the business landscape. Implement better processes and policies around the lower end of middle market clients. All clients should be treated equally from a service perspective.

    Pros

Bank does the right thing, wants to improve, provides good technical resources at work and training.

    Cons

Predictable job, difficult to move up. Some groups are great, some are old boys club cliques. Low compensation compared to market

    Advice to Management

Provide opportunities for ambitious people to move up.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Rotational program where participants see two different Lines of Businesses in order to gain an understanding for a future, long-term career path. Very competitive salary and outstanding benefits.

    Cons

Rotations are assigned, participants do not have the ability to select their position. Limited initial training within the program and the particular line of business as a whole, especially considering participants have no prior experience in the given field.

    Advice to Management

Develop a stronger orientation that extends past the first two days to include more comprehensive background on lines of businesses and potential career paths within them. Additionally, utilize the strengths finder results to better match participants to rotational assignments. The 1-to-1 scale of a rotational position to participants results in limited opportunities; expand the potential pool of rotational... positions to give participants options, rather than forcing assignments.
