I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The company has really good benefits, and you can buy extra vacation. Every now and then you come across a really good manager, and that makes working there a good experience.

    Cons

Management is very anti social and tends to micro manage to the extreme. Also do not think about the employees under them before making important decisions.

    Advice to Management

Management would benefit by asking the employee/s doing the actual job before making any major changes . Especially when the employee/s have been doing the job longer and the changes create more unnecessary work instead of less. Bank of America says they are flexible, but I don't think the managers received that memo.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Health insurance, vacation time, hours.

    Cons

Most employees come from Walmart and Best Buy, they have no idea on how to do loans, finance, banking, etc. They are glad to get the evenings and weekends off. Drug and alcohol abuse is out of control, and if you try to put an end to it upper management will make your life a living hell, they will look for anything to get rid of you.

    Advice to Management

Do random drug and alcohol testing at every level. Stop bringing people with no banking experience for management.

    Cons

Working six days a week. No managerial support when needed. Manager would act like it was a big burden to come help when I had an issue or question. Then get very upset when I would make a mistake. She also accused me of being a witch.

    Advice to Management

Promote managers who do not play favorites, or accuse people of being a witch.
