I worked at Bank of America (Less than a year)

    Pros

Studied the past the series 7 and went to training with partners and financial visors and wholesalers. Overall this company treated me well

    Cons

Extremely long hours expected and look down upon if you did not work long hours

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Health insurance is great, time off is decent

    Cons

Lots of sales pressure makes you feel like you cannot help clients, just need to push products/sales. Compensation not equal among those with similar experience/performance. 100% isn't enough, 150% is ok, 200% is best

    Advice to Management

Micro managing is a bit much. If upper management could be a little more helpful and considerate toward customers and a little less sales driven it would be great

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Worked for the company for 31 years before being laid off with no warning or just cause.

    Cons

Top down management with no support to the little people that are actually doing the real work.

    Advice to Management

    Get all new management

I worked at Bank of America as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexibility, remote worker option for some teams, good productivity tool set, heavily invested in project management process and tools

    Cons

To many acquisitions without roadmap on how to consolidate similar tools - too many duplicate systems which requires more work to maintain. Complete lack of leadership - to many senior level managers put into positions that are not able to make proper decisions. Most managers looking to protect their job at expense of employees with little regards to financial burden on company. Many poor decisions continue to be made that impact bottom line negatively. Very little strategic direction.

    Advice to Management

Time to clean house and seriously review corporate goals and direction that will lead to stronger company as morale is very weak leading to poor results. Internal audits should be implemented to ensure teams are not simply passing costs to other teams and taking credit for cost reductions.
