I worked at Bank of America part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Bank of America is a great place to start for young individuals. Great benefits and better pay than most jobs. I enjoyed working with my team and learned and developed some good skills.

    Cons

Cross selling and making referrals is very important. If your are not comfortable with sales its probably not the place to be working at. Also they don't let you sit down which was a bit frustrating because standing in the same spot for more than 6 hours can be pretty devastating.

    Advice to Management

My advice to management is to stop relocating branch managers every 6 months. It messes with team moral and performance.

I worked at Bank of America part-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Great company encouragement, easy to move up, employees take care of each other in the banking center.

    Cons

Didn't like them cutting me from the banking center because i was the only part-timer. Got moved to a location I didnt like..

    Advice to Management

Keep employees where they are happy and needed, not wherever there is room.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Bank of America full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

Building great meaningful relationships with your customers, having a positive impact on peoples lives, training, health benefits, paid vacation time.

    Cons

Lawsuits from the Federal government, investors and customers have financially impacted the companys bottom line forcing mass layoff, reshifts in management and new strategies that negatively impact the quality of employment for employees and quality of service for the customer.

    Advice to Management

Internal upper management decisions over the past 8 years have failed our customers, employees, investors and most importantly the public trust. Our customers should have "always" been at the center of everything we practiced. Your unrestrained eating frenzy harmed many and we have no golden parachutte

I worked at Bank of America

    Pros

competitive pay and benefits! professional environment. good team. (at least i had one)

    Cons

meal breaks. generally BofA is consistent in giving standard breaks but sometimes they will not allow you to take your 30 minute (lunch) break and force you to work through your lunch. while you are paid, there has to be mutual consent and this was not the case. by the way, thirty minute (lunch) breaks after six hours of work is a legal requirement in CA. little room for growth or development. more recognition...
