I worked at Bank of America as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Leadership really allowed you to make decisions and listened when you had a great idea. They didn't make you waste your time with too many unneeded reports for status. They trust you to get your job done and make decisions.

    Cons

Pay was low compared to other companies. They have a lot of policies that tie the hands of managers in hiring you. If you work as a consultant, they make you take 90days off every 3 years so you won't say you were an employee. Even if your boss wants to hire you, they want to keep people as consultants so they don't need to give you benefits. I know consultants that have been back and forth for almost a decade and worked hard and never been hired. You will also work really long hours.

    Advice to Management

You have great leadership. Let them hire your better consultants. Hire consultants for shortages that are short term. Don't make it an overall hiring practice, You should also allow more remote workers again. It allows you to get great resources that might not be close to an office. Overall I loved my job and was very productive. I would have joined your company if you had just let me boss hire me.
