I worked at Bank of America part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Good work environment
    - Plenty of room for growth on the consumer banking side if you work hard enough
    - Great job for college students

    Cons

    - Sometimes the focus was more on sales than on customer needs
    - Computer systems seem a little outdated

    Advice to Management

    - Focus more on customer satisfaction than trying to sell them financial services that they don't necessarily need.

I worked at Bank of America part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

benefits, hours, customers, some of the coworkers

    Cons

the pressure to sell products like credit cards is the top priority, customer service is a distant second

    Advice to Management

If you focus on customer service, the sales will come. Having managers stare over your shoulder to make sure you are harrassing your customer into getting something they may not need is ridiculous. Even when they say no, we're supposed to keep selling it to them, even if the line is out the door.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company to work for, great benefits. Also, able to transfer to different branches for promotion or just relocation. Company always promotes within.

    Cons

You are always "on stage" and are always pushed to make a sale or look for a possible sale of an account. There are always goals you have to meet.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The job is what you make of it. If you take it at face value of just being a "job" then you won't really propel forward, but if you get involved and really care there is nothing but potential. The salary is way above average with differentials on shift and language with occasional opportunities for OT. The teammates around you are great and if you foster relationships with your colleagues, managers, and senior leaders you will enjoy your experience. Benefits package is above what you will get from most other employers.

    Cons

Admittedly, there can be some moments where the call volume is high, but that is expected because you are there to take clients and assist them, not to sit around. You will see people you have become friends with either post out or leave, that's the nature of an entry level job.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. You foster your top talent and you provide support for all your teams.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

An amazing competitive team. Everyone wants to better themselves and grow with the company. Everyone I worked with was always willing to help. And I never had to worry about getting my 40 hours I could always pick up hours at another location

    Cons

I don't have any cons about this job at all. Just some crazy customers you have to deal with but that's any customer service job

    Advice to Management

Loved all management including my district manager
