    Pros

Quarterly bonuses, Slightly flexible schedule (Saturday half days and week day off).

    Cons

The amount of sales you have to have in order to fund and get bonuses.

    Advice to Management

Lower goals so that employees can actually make extra money and see the benefits of working so hard to sell.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time

    Pros

BOA usually has some of the top cutting edge technologies for their customers and tools for sales, compared to some of the competition. Also, if you need to move to another state and stay employed at BOA, there are many locations in the U.S. to choose from.

    Cons

The upper management micromanages every activity there is to manage. There is a high level of pressure to produce the numbers or you will be terminated after two quarters of not meeting your goals. Depending on your management team above you, you may be losing sales to the managers who sometimes compete with you for account openings, even though they do not have individual sales goals. If you don't speak Chinese or Spanish, your opportunities for employment can be very limited due to the "highly preferred" or "required" status.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Somewhat of a set schedule. Lots of vacations. Great benefits

    Cons

Every year the sales get more challenging. The company doesn't promote like they say that will do. The manager at my location doesn't do anything to help the employees. The pay is not the best.

    Advice to Management

Talking to upper management is like talking to a wall.

    Pros

Technology is among the best in industry. Teamwork is highly encouraged. Bank has a topnotch training program that is web based.

    Cons

Education not valued.Very stressful work environment with little to minimal support from management. There is constant organizational change with little explanation.

    Pros

    Opportunities for advancement.
They have the best software in the market, making work very easy and user friendly.
It is a good, strong company that invests lots of money in their R&D and in their software.

    Cons

It's hard to transfer between departments. The compensation could be better compared to credt unions but you can negotiate a substantial amount if you are skilled at it. You get to deal with many angry customers. They are rigid about how they measure performance so you end up sounding robotic when talking to customers.

    Advice to Management

Allow employees to transfer to other departments without relying on manager's for complete evaluation. When an employee is good managers can stand in the way of advancement.
