I worked at Bank of America full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good benefits. Possibility for commission is available quarterly.

    Cons

The training process is very tense and long. You train in the back of a bank alone at a computer for 8 straight hours. The focus is on sales and employees are pressured daily about sales. Customer Service not as important as the customers. You are required to come in early and never allowed to leave on time and your schedule is changed without your knowledge weekly. Commission is only quarterly if you make 100% of your...

    Advice to Management

Stop making the focus on numbers and sales. Pay more attention to customers needs. Revamp the training process to a classroom setting not in the back of a bank where it's an inconvenience to current employees. Some employees where literally in a unsafe environment. In a basement, near bathrooms so uncomfortable and unprofessional.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time

    Pros

BOA usually has some of the top cutting edge technologies for their customers and tools for sales, compared to some of the competition. Also, if you need to move to another state and stay employed at BOA, there are many locations in the U.S. to choose from.

    Cons

The upper management micromanages every activity there is to manage. There is a high level of pressure to produce the numbers or you will be terminated after two quarters of not meeting your goals. Depending on your management team above you, you may be losing sales to the managers who sometimes compete with you for account openings, even though they do not have individual sales goals. If you don't speak Chinese or Spanish,...

I have been working at Bank of America full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Somewhat of a set schedule. Lots of vacations. Great benefits

    Cons

Every year the sales get more challenging. The company doesn't promote like they say that will do. The manager at my location doesn't do anything to help the employees. The pay is not the best.

    Advice to Management

Talking to upper management is like talking to a wall.
