I have been working at Bank of America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Phenomenal benefits
Ease of mobility within company if performing well in role

    Cons

This particular role you helm teller transactions and the duties of a Personal Banker it’s described as 50/50 but is admittedly more 70/30 this wouldn’t be an issue if you weren’t measured on performance and to sales goals on the 30%.

    Advice to Management

Most centers don’t need more tellers, but some most definitely do, be more realistic about it, or atleast incorporate more self service options (More drive up ATM’s and ATA’s, stations where clients can sign into their own online banking to actually demonstrate problems and to assistant clients who don’t have computer access.)

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company with TONS of benefits: Medical, Dental, Legal, Childcare reimbursement
Sites all over the U.S. if you want to move around
    Casual Dress Code
3 weeks vacation in your first year with the option of purchasing a 4th
401k Plan with 1:1 company match up to 5% of salary, company also makes an annual contribution to your 401k.
Lax attendance policy if you work in the call center/back office.
Easy work if you pay attention to what you're doing

    Cons

Local management. The Tampa, FL site leader micro manages all of her managers to the point that they complain about it.
They make a practice of lowballing internal candidates moving into new positions with % salary increases rather than paying what the job should pay. For example I left Document Review with a salary of 43k- higher than most of my peers. If they were to hire someone off the street the company would pay 48-50k for the same job. They hired no one off the street in the 4 years i worked for the company.

    Advice to Management

Pay your people what they're worth.

    Good pay
    Good bullet on your resume
    Nice co workers
    Nice environment
    Good benefits

    Cons

-*Stressful!!! Makes you have high BP and possible heart attack
-Customers can treat employees any way they feel like without recourse
    -Customers are very rude
-Bank of America doesn't value customers that have less than 100k in the bank.
    - Too many Policies for employees and customers to keep up with.

    Advice to Management

    Advocate for the employee

    Pros

The Benefits are outstanding at this level.

    Cons

Management at all levels have no real regard for this position. Have no issue in miss leading or to lie directly to you.

    Advice to Management

Better training for all levels of supervisors. Not to address non-exempt employees as insignificant

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, such as vacation time, sick time

    Cons

You will see new people all the time (because no body like to be there) and as you have new people they don't know what they are doing, so you have to fix people's mistakes all the time. The hold time for clients is absurd (at least 30 mts) so when you get them over the phone they are extremely upset (of course). Opportunities?? puff they tell you that you will have tons of opportunities to advance but that is a lie.. they want you to be there so they can have "an experts" they always find a reason to keep you in the same spot.

    Advice to Management

you don't make employees happy just because you give them candies and food. you have to listen to them and provide solutions. if everybody is telling you the same is because something is happening.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There was an elevator in the building.

    Cons

There is no work life balance. I was told I'd be written up for wanting to go to my child's school event. The managers only listen to the sales reps and don't want to hear anything from the operations staff.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Lots of support and training. Schedule was fairly placed with plenty of breaks. Salary was on high end for call center work.

    Cons

Like most call center they micromanage you. Customer satisfaction surveys are the principal gauge for success which can be stressful.

    Advice to Management

Train associates to delight customers from day one of the 5 week classroom training.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

The best reason to work here is to learn how to be professional and learn how large corporations work. There are also opportunities available outside of the small business unit that you can break into.

    Cons

Since this is a call center based job, you will probably take 50 or more service calls a day. There are opportunities to make sales bonuses but some of the products they want you to sell are not necessary for customers.
