I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, great work with diversity, affinity and volunteer groups, outstanding mandatory training modules, decent technology initiatives, diverse and varied work assignments

    Cons

Incentive based bonuses are not realistic, performance metrics constantly changing, unprofessional management, age discrimination, operations and compliance areas not on the same page, poor morale

    Advice to Management

Properly train young managers on professionalism, say what you mean and mean what you say, ensure that initiatives are shared with other business units (to avoid undoing pre-set goals).

I worked at Bank of America (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits - medical and dental - child adoption. Excellent communication to promote employee volunteer involvement in community activities - walking for the cure, women's issues and LGBT activities.

    Cons

Management promotions appear to be based on who you know rather than the ability to do the work and suitability for the position. Managers quite often do not lead with transparency. Directives from senior management are often lost in translation.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

So far health & 401k benefits are good. I was fortunate to have a supporting manager & peers and was welcomed well after being moved to a new department. Training associates, they offer a lot of online classes to enhance your knowledge and be on the loop. We always do a weekly huddle, so communication wise between associate & management is good.

    Cons

The only downside is once your department has able to do well they will try to move your department to out of state. Which is understanble coz cost wise they will be able to save a lot on that. You will be training people who will be replaced on your job.

    Advice to Management

Just continue on listening & implementing the good values and please recognize more the associates who is really working hard for the good of the company.
