Pros
Pros & Cons are excerpts from user reviews. They are not authored by Glassdoor.
- Current Employee, more than 8 years★★★★★
Pros
You get an opportunity to earn what you're worth
Cons
Office isn't close to my house
Continue reading - Former Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
free coffee, and some times company lunch, some good managers
Cons
low hourly pay, constantly change the commission structure, really bad quality leads for cold calling (80% wrong or disconnected numbers for the most part), turnover is ridiculous, stressful environment.
- Former Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Normal hours, kitchen, free coffee
Cons
The positive reviews are fake, this is a sweat shop in Del Mar. You're expected to strike gold with crap leads. Worked my butt off to make $200 in commission with a crappy base. Slanging high interest loans to small business owners that dont know better is hard. Close up shop and put yourselves out of this misery. I left because the environment and pay sucks, its bait and switch here.

Pros
High commission, potential for advancement, good environment with helpful people.
Cons
Starting salary isn’t great but similar to other companies that do the same thing.

Pros
Laid back environment, hard working and motivating coworkers, competitive commission structure, tenure leads to an increasing and wide range of commission opportunities, good training program if needed
Cons
Benefits are adequate...they can be balanced by the commission opportunity if you grow and learn the industry.

Pros
I've been working at Bank of Cardiff for a few months and love coming into work everyday. The managers here are friendly, helpful and do what they can to set you up for success. The company culture here is awesome and they have really cool weekly/bi-weekly spiffs with cool prizes to incentivize the sales floor. I came into this industry with zero industry experience and have learned so much and am continuing to learn new things everyday. As long as you come to work with a good attitude and strong work ethic, you will be rewarded.
Cons
The base pay is lower than I'm used to but once you hit your 10 submissions (usually takes about a month), you get a small pay bump and you're eligible to make commission (which can be very lucrative).

Pros
You can make a lot of money if you are good at sales and good on the phone
Cons
Strange work hours, difficult to make money commission right off the bat when you are new.

Pros
I would recommend Bank Of Cardiff to any sales minded individuals looking to work hard and make money! Fun atmosphere, great team and management, lots of opportunity to succeed. Excellent weekly spiffs and company activities. I have been working at Cardiff for a year and it has paid off- huge upside with great commission
Cons
I do not have any Cons to post about Cardiff-this is a sales position and sales are expected- Dental and vision plans would be nice

Pros
Laid back environment, great people to work with, growing company that has been breaking sales records. Senior management is very approachable and truly has an open door policy. In the 5 months, I have been with the company, we have had 2 awesome company outing so far where they have rented boats to take out on the bay and not only paid employees for the day but provided food and drinks! What's better than beer, boats and the bay!?! Good medical insurance options at 60 days and 401K once you have been employed for a year. Also, they have a really cool expresso/cappuccino maker!
Cons
Currently, they don't provide dental or vision insurance.

Pros
Everyone there is pretty cool. Office is nice. If you like cubicles. This Company WANTS to be good Company.
Cons
-This is TELEMARKETING. Sales. -95% of your training is on how to make cold calls. Rejection, etc. -3% of your training will be on what you absolutely must know to be knowledgable and successful, However, no one there has any training experience and they don't want to invest too much time doing this because chances are you won't be there much longer than a year. if that. -You make cold calls. Make no mistake about it. -leads have been purchased by every lending firm in the US, So you're 1 of a dozen different companies calling a lead that is overwhelmed with sales calls just like the one you just made. -your leads are anyone that has financed, taken out a loan, or had their credit run in the last 10 years. They're not expecting your call. Are not in the market for financing have no need for financing, and no intention on letting you talk them into borrowing money. Your manager can NOT DO WHAT THEY ARE ASKING OF YOU with the leads they're giving you. Ask them to show you how its done. They won't. I know cause I mentioned it more than once and they didn't cause they couldn't you will be micro managed by on office manager that gets off on bully tactics, letting people go and wasn't any better at telemarketing than most entry level employees I saw come and go. Get on het good side, but don't let her fool you. just listen to her sales calls recording and make your own call. They play favorites. That does not mean they will treat you bad, you just will not get the dozen or so quality leads that will make a nice paycheck. favorites tend to be those that have experience in this line of work, If you don't you won't.
