I have been working at Bank of the Ozarks full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They offer 401K & it starts Day 1. Company matches 3% at 100% and then an additional 2% is matched at 50%, They offer Health, Dental, Vision, etc. as well as Stock Options. They provide you vacation time as well as you earn sick time based on hours worked. They give you 3 (very nice) bank polo tshirts . Training is great and co-workers are all nice and helpful as well. We are like a family in the call center I work out of which makes the job easier and fun. I love my job and the people I work with. I deff see myself staying with the bank, making it my career & my last job.....Saved the BEST for last!

    Cons

NONE because it's honestly the best job I've had and I've had a lot. Overall a great company with great ethics, a great environment and work-life balance, great co-workers, and great benefits/perks!

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work and continue to do what you are doing! We are not the #1 bank in America for this long for no reason ;)

I have been working at Bank of the Ozarks full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Growing regional bank with a lot of growth opportunity.

    Cons

The company's efficiency ratio is important to management, this can be seen in some areas of the bank moreso than others.

I have been working at Bank of the Ozarks full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

One of the best things I like about working at Bank of the Ozarks is that I feel like my voice is heard. I can share my opinion on a topic and it will be taken into consideration by the manager of that area.

I can email or call anybody in the company and the person on the other end is going to be great to work with and will not make me feel as if I am interrupting their day.

There are a lot of career opportunities and potential for professional growth.

    Cons

The only con would be that the bank doesn't offer some of the benefits that other large companies do like paid maternity/paternity leave or tuition reimbursement.

I have been working at Bank of the Ozarks full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I could list all of the pro's of working for Bank of the Ozarks, but do you really think someone keeps coming to a job, day after day, week after week, year after year, if they are miserable? No way. I am still young, and could make any career move that I wanted, yet why settle for roast beef when I have filet mignon?

    Cons

I don't get to park in the executive garage, (because I'm not of that status yet) but don't worry, I'm coming for you!

I worked at Bank of the Ozarks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You learn to do many jobs to beef up your resume

    Cons

Internal operations was very unorganized for merged banks. Minimal support from management. Your work is triple compared to the same position at another bank due to unorganized internal operations. Salary/pay rate does not match the work that needs to be done.

    Advice to Management

Consider better pay to combat the continual turnover rate.

I have been working at Bank of the Ozarks full-time

    Pros

There is a reason Bank of the Ozarks has ranked as the top performing bank in the nation for the past seven years, a culture of excellence. It is refreshing to work for a company where each employee strives to not just be good, not just be great, but to be excellent in everything they do. Employees who service external customers perform at a high level because they are supported by employees internally who perform at a high level. The environment here is one of mutual trust and respect. I have never worked at a company as respectful as Bank of the Ozarks. The benefits are great, the opportunity for advancement is way above average because of our growth and success, but at the end of the day, its being part of a winning team, working for a company with high standards and ethics which makes it all worthwhile.

    Cons

If you are a slacker, this isn't the place for you. My observation is the bank hires top performers and employees with potential to grow.

    Advice to Management

What you are doing seems to be working!

I am very proud to be a part of the No. 1 bank in the US for several years in a row.

    Cons

I do not have any negatives.

    Advice to Management

Keep encouraging staff to be the best they can be.
