I have been working at Bank of the Philippine Islands full-time

    Pros

Nice people. Nice culture. Everything about BPI is stability and trust. That's what I like about them.

    Cons

Very conservative to a fault sometimes. Sometimes they miss big opportunities, but they also do not get in to much trouble.

    Advice to Management

None as of the moment. They are what they are. BPI is doing really good so kudos to management.

Integrity of the people who work here is top-notch.

Invest in the people who are loyal and stay in the company. BPI should learn how to benchmark with other leading banks.

I worked at Bank of the Philippine Islands as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get to work with amazing people that teaches you what you need to learn about the banking industry. There are only a couple of interns so you really get to do the job without having to distribute it piece by piece. Depending on your immediate supervisor, you may get to attend events and meetings (which I did) and maybe get some free snacks as well (I did too) since there is no allowance given.

    Cons

There is just no dedicated workspace for interns so we have to ask someone where we can work everyday and transfer places if someone else is going to use the room that was assigned to us. Internet connection was also slow which was much needed for our work which made us work slower than we have to but overall, everything was great.

    Advice to Management

Maybe you could set up a module for the whole duration of the internship so that there won't be any down time when the immediate supervisor is thinking of what work we have to do.
