    Pros

I loved the workplace, collaboration and autonomy I had. Flexible hours and place of work.

    Cons

If you don't know French well (and I mean fluent well), you're pretty much left behind Very hard to go up the ladder if you don't have strong connections. Takes years to get from P5 to P6

I have been working at Banque Nationale du Canada/National Bank of Canada full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

National Bank is growing and recognising it needs to change with the times. They are engaging & working WITH employees to make those needed changes.

    Cons

Still a little too focused on/in Quebec, despite statements of wanting to focus on expanding to the rest of Canada. From achievements to communication the company is still 'French first' & Quebec centric thinking.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to open 'head offices' in other Provinces with management teams well versed in those provinces - their unique needs and differences from Quebec. Thus, providing more diversity & understanding of the businesses that are operating in those & immediately surrounding provinces.

    Pros

    - The management is forward-thinking and motivated. - The working environment is very friendly and relaxed. - The bank is transforming to digital and data-driven, so there are always a lot work to do.
