I have been working at Baptist Health (Arkansas) full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

You have the opportunity for overtime. They provide your uniforms and equipment. Great benefits: insurance, PTO, discounts, 401k, etc.

    Cons

You have to call in 8 hours in advanced to be able to obtain PTO. You get stuck doing non-security related things like delivering donuts, giving rides, etc

    Advice to Management

Change the PTO policy, no one knows if they are going to be sick 8 hours before shift starts. Give officers raises.

I worked at Baptist Health (Arkansas)

    Pros

Great benefits for new grads and they offered raises at the end of your first year. They also provided tuition reimbursement which was a plus!

    Cons

Gossiping co-workers and supervisors. No team work. Always short staffed. New nurses placed with terrible preceptors! Nurses have a max load of patients 6-7 with 2-3 admissions throughout the night. The RN resident contract is a bunch of crap. If you quit or get fired you have to pay them $5000 in full to.come back or they will put it in collections. They are racist as far as co-workers. They make a lot of racial.slurs...

    Advice to Management

You need better preceptors for new nurses. The gossiping needs to stop; it's very unprofessional. You need to hire more full time workers instead of agency nurses. Quit giving nurses especially new ones the max patient load. The supervisors need to quit showing favortism to certain nurses and telling private employee business to staff members. HR is absent and needs to so a better job at recruiting.

I have been working at Baptist Health (Arkansas) full-time

    Pros

Christian environment, opportunities for development, great benefits, care for employee base

    Cons

Large campus under construction making parking difficult. Departments operate as silos.

    Advice to Management

Keep up with office technology better and understand how technology can be beneficial for employees.

I have been working at Baptist Health (Arkansas) full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I love to help people and see what the power of prayer in a hospital will do! REALLY great benefits. The VPs in administration make their way throughout the hospital and keep everyone straight, which is super important in a hospital. High level of security.

    Cons

Pay isn't as high as a couple of other hospitals. There has been quite a bit of construction going on as of late. Elevators in parking deck go out for a few hours like once a year.

    Advice to Management

Please make sure nutrition and food services are held at the same standard as everyone else. They are so unfriendly and make the worst food
