    Pros

    Some nice people working there.

    Cons

    Not competitive salaries. Poor managers who show favoritism to undeserving employees. Upper mgmt has no vision.

    Advice to Management

    Get rid of people that haven't contributed anything new for decades! Pay the employees better if you want better employees! Why keep losing them to your competitor?

    Little opportunity for advancement
    No cost of living adjustments and very minimal merit raises
    Slow to update older materials and equipment

    Pros

    Teamwork atmosphere, innovation, patient centered focus, numerous nurse driven initiatives for patient care.

    Cons

    Personally the distance to drive. But since it is such a great place to work I continue to brave the distance in order to still work

    Advice to Management

    Continue investing in nursing, continue patient centered focus, Increase number of Weekend Only positions to decrease the number of weekend required for other staff nurses.

    Pros

    Some really great, brave individuals work there who possess a true Christian spirit and heart, as well as a keen sense of humor and intelligence.

    Cons

    No work-life balance
    Constant exhaustion
    Bullying
    Management overlooks bad behavior by persons who are truly disruptive
    Management preaches about critical errors but favors incompetent employees
    Management tries to silence any criticism, even outside of work in private
    Management hounds employees out the door for speaking out about problems that truly affect patient care
    Caste system - some types of employees are treated well and compensated, others get only a few cents' raise and no bonuses
    Management does not respond to e-mails and constantly gives wrong information about procedures
    Corporate spent too much on Epic conversion and are taking it out on their employees
    Management discriminates against persons on FMLA to the point of hounding them out the door
    Constant lying by many people about everything
    Bad cafeteria management
    Management protects persons who constantly instigate fights and beats down the person who resists
    Toxic Culture overall
    No alternatives for workers with disabilities to be accommodated
    Corporate has an egregious attendance policy worse than the hospital's, which is not codified in a handbook
    Not enough PTO, SL considering the stress and danger of the environment
    Filthy - EVS does not clean and no one can criticize them
    Constant stripping of wax on floors, leading to serious lung issues for employees
    Stealing of food in employee break rooms which is never dealt with
    Corporate grades employees down harshly on performance evaluations if they speak out and are doing their jobs, and if they are on FMLA
