I worked at Baptist Memorial Health Care full-time

    Pros

Benefits are decent. That's the only thing positive I can say.

    Cons

Salaried. Expect long hours and work on weekends. Boss likes to yell and degrade people. He's now been promoted and over all of Epic there. Promoted on who you know not how hard you work or experience. High turnover. Several complained to HR but nothing has ever been done.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees like they matter and have families.

I have been working at Baptist Memorial Health Care full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The employees that you work with on the unit are like a close-knit family. If you are an individual who is eager to help others, you will find assistance whenever you need it.

    Cons

The Entity, as a whole, makes decisions and changes that are not always in the best interest of the employees and/or patients. This is most likely due to government instated reimbursement rating systems such as HCAPS

    Advice to Management

Please worry about the employees and patients rather than scores/numbers.

Great place to work. Cooperative and helpful staff as well as supportive management

    Cons

Support staff such as patient care techs, are not compensated adequately for their valuable contribution

    Advice to Management

Revisit compensation for patient care techs so quality staff will be drawn to that valuable job and allow us, the RNs do our job monitoring and caring for patients
