    Pros

Good tips. Relaxed environment during day. No uniforms required. Flexible schedule.

    Cons

At night you deal with crazy hostile crowds, fights on the regular. You don't get out till after 2am on the weekends. Employee high school drama with one another. Dealing with obnoxious drunk people.

    Advice to Management

Take better care of employees to keep them happy. And be more hands on helping staff during busy times.

    Pros

Gets pretty busy during games so opportunity to make money was there.

    Cons

When your new the girl servers treat you like your worthless. Management has to aprove any shifts you want to pick up on the app "people matter" however they would purposefully deny my request to pick up other people's shifts and give me the worst ones just to make me "pay my dues". I barely had any shifts yet they had no problem giving me EVERY holiday for either 9pm-3am shift or 8am shift the next day. I consistently got the worst section making $10-$40 a night. Not to mention parking was $6. Constantly feel expendable. And the clientele were SUPER drunk all time. Half the time they would try to walk out without paying. Shady.

I worked at Barneys Beanery part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The environment is energetic, and everything is pretty straightforward in terms of what i needed to do as a host. It was a good part-time job for the summer. You also get a discount on the menu items.

    Cons

No clear way to move up from being a host to being a waitress. Also, worked kind of long hours on my feet. Mosty just a typical experience as a hostess.

    Advice to Management

    Take it easy, and relax.

I have been working at Barneys Beanery full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great ownership I learned a lot of what I use and apply today from the Barneys ownership. Fast paced and keeps you moving. As a manager you are treated with respect by the higher ups, they take care of you and listen. I would recommend this job for someone interested in restaurant ownership/management.

    Cons

Late nights, make sure you ask for a mix of shifts. Coming home at 4 am every night gets old.

    Advice to Management

Keep hiring good people and treating people great!

    Cons

Horrible coworkers to work with. Very high school drama like, gossipers, haters. Not so good management either. Clientele at night were so ghetto and rude you realllllly had to hustle to make money there, people didn't know how to tip.

You must work Christmas and all other holiday's
    No support during your shifts
    Horrible support from upper management
HR doesn't listen or care about the managers
No manager training program, (I spent 5 days training with a floor manager before I was running a shift)

    Advice to Management

    Pros

The money can be really good and the people working with you are pretty cool. It's a great way to meet new people of you are new to the area. There isn't much of a dress code, which is nice.

    Cons

Long hours, and rude customers. If you can't handle that, then it's the wrong place for you. The menu is long and unnecessary. And you pretty much have to work on the weekends to make any money, but that goes for all service industries.
