    Pros

-Great team mindset and relationships amongst coworkers
    -Really interesting and varying work
-A lot of freedom given to get jobs done and learn
-Credit is always given where it's due
    -Everyone is working equally hard

    Cons

-Vacation time and holidays are minimal
-Travel can be unpredictable and long otherwise it is a really great place to be.

    Advice to Management

-There seems to be recent a push to give workers a better work life balance. This is very important.
-Directly incentivize travel. It will really help balance the frustration and inconvenience it can cause.

I worked at Barnhart Crane & Rigging full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good 401, good workers at the local level, travel, innovative. Great at provide solutions for complex problems.

    Cons

Frequent equipment breakdowns, profit over honesty and fairness. Minimal teamwork. Excessive engineering time booked to projects while still putting out inadequate plans. Competitors provide better value making initial sales difficult. Excessive profit is unfairly demanded by corporate by hammering the customer for extras, delays, and changes by always stopping work until a change order is signed.

    Advice to Management

Demand for high profit is causing corners to be cut and dishonest service to customers. Customer and the competition know this and it is hurting Barnhart's reputation.

I have been working at Barnhart Crane & Rigging full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

works alongside the Senior Management and various internal customers from multiple departments throughout the organization to find solutions good for the business.

    Cons

You can't pick and choose which scriptures to read, and follow.
No matter where he turned, it seemed to him that Scripture was sending a very clear warning: Money can be dangerous.
“I read all these verses, and I thought: ‘I want to be good in business, and I’m competitive,’” Barnhart says. “But I didn’t want to make a lot of money if doing so would damage my life. And I could see where it really could.”

    Advice to Management

Stay ground and talk to the front line employees instead of just taking the word of middle management.

I worked at Barnhart Crane & Rigging full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Barnhart is a great place to work and earn a living. They do great things worldwide. Somewhere in the range of 95% of Barnhart's profits is donated to help the poorest of the poor every year.

    Cons

Unless you are related to, go to church with or are otherwise good friends with someone high enough to give you a job and ensure that you rise you will never be allowed to move up in the company.
Barnhart functions on a strict policy of nepotism and cronyism. Talk to nearly anyone who works there or has worked there and you will likely hear this. "It's a great place to work but a terrible place for a career." I believe that the Barnhart family has good intentions but lacks real desire when it comes to actually living up to the mission statement.

    Advice to Management

Serve the Lord instead of your friends and relatives.

Management is a little clutch of self-worshiping phonies. They act so religious then they stab the workers in the back. They fire people they don't see as fitting this religious thing all the time. Be careful of the knives these people carry under their robes.

    Advice to Management
