    Pros

Great company, with very intelligent and hardworking employees. Family feeling, and lots of flexibility. Exciting place to work if you love weather.

    Cons

Desire to continue to innovate can sometimes lead company into false starts. Sometimes it feels the company is pulled in a lot of different directions, and not completely focused.

    Advice to Management

Focus on what you do really well. Invest in your biggest asset, your employees. You've hired really passionate and smart people, listen to them.

I worked at Baron Services full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The work was incredibly fun and most of the folks who worked there were top notch. Flexible work schedule most of the time.

    Cons

The company was top heavy and relied on the skill of just one or two talented managers to do real work. The pay is extremely low for the area and some years they didn't give raises. Secretive stock options given to some, but not all employees with similar eligibility (buddy system). Poor focus on new product development. No consideration for safety, testing, or customer satisfaction which caused constant grief for both customers and developers.

    Advice to Management

Create a 5 year plan and stick to it. Listen to your experts, that's what you are paying them for.

    Pros

Talented employees with great innovative potential.

    Cons

Upper management has no real focus on the future. Sales by any means is considered acceptable even if the sale costs the company a huge loss. The sales team acts like a company within the company with no regard to rules.

    Advice to Management

It is high time the management rein in the sales folks since they are more prone to drifting away and chasing personal than the company goals.

I worked at Baron Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great environment and corporate culture. They make quality products that employees can be proud to stand behind. Employees are top notch. There is very little office drama. One of the best places I've had the opportunity to work.

    Cons

Communication from upper management does not happen very often. Many times employees have little knowledge of company direction until surprised all at once. You have to seek out and track down information.

I worked at Baron Services full-time

    Pros

Good team atmosphere. Employees are always trying to make positive contributions. It's a small company, and there is a lot of opportunity to learn new things if you're willing to take on more responsibility.

    Cons

Everyone is spread very thin. Senior management is unfocused and directionless, making things feel futile sometimes. No opportunity for career advancement.

I have been working at Baron Services full-time

    Pros

The company is full of great people working on things that are beneficial to the greater community. Working with weather radar is challenging and interesting. Management is benevolent and listens to employees.

    Cons

Things can be a little disorganized, but it seems to be improving. Crowded facilities. Sometimes it seems that projects get lost in the shuffle. Company trying to figure out general focus.

    Advice to Management

    Keep on improving!
