Having never worked for anyone but myself, I was hesitant to accept an offer with Isett. I quickly realized that it wasn't much different; there is no micromanagement, I can make decisions without being questioned, and I have the flexibility to balance my work and family life. Being an employee owned company there are no secrets when it comes to finances and policies. Every decision is weighed and agreed upon through a collaboration of folks to ensure that those initiatives are in the best interest of all the associates and the future of Isett. Through a team effort across all departments we strive to always deliver the best service to our clients. I take pride in sharing with everyone I meet that I work at (and with the great people of) Isett.
Cons
I personally do not have anything negative to say. I would guess (like with any 200+ staff company) that there are associates that have issues, concerns, and opinions of things that could be better. With that, regular internal surveys are circulated to receive associate feedback to identify areas for improvement. These surveys are taken seriously and followed up with action plans put in place to course correct.
- Current Employee★★★★★
Good culture and people. Some time off policies could be better,=.

Good work life balance. Rarely/never expected to put more than 8 hours in per day.
Cons
Average pay. When you start you will only get 10 vacation days per year for many years after.

Jul 15, 2021 - Project Manager in Trexlertown, PARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Work-Life Balance is a staple of our culture at Barry Isett. The employees take ownership and responsibility of our product seriously and the Management team backs us up. Open communication is encouraged as well as innovation and outside the box thinking. The team approach across all disciplines means no 2 projects are ever approached the same way.
Cons
Pre-pandemic I'd say the commute across the Lehigh Valley, but with the widely encouraged and successful use of our working from home networking capabilities, I no longer feel the pressure to be in the office 5 days a week.

Excellent
Jul 14, 2021 - Project Professional in Mechanicsburg, PARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Balance is one of our core values, and it applies to the company and transcends to work-life balance for employees. Isett has been great for flexibility and not forcing overtime. The people who work here are great as well. I wouldn't say Isett is like a family because that can be an indicator of toxicity, but all of my coworkers are great. The company does surveys often to gauge employee satisfaction and actively seeks to improve the company based on our thoughts.
Cons
The culture in different offices is interesting.
