    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Barton College full-time

    Pros

Used to be a great place to work. A flexible, family atmosphere.

    Cons

You do not work at Barton for compensation or benefits. The pay is terrible unless you are senior management. They just reduced retirement benefits and the healthcare isn't the greatest.

    Advice to Management

Talk to the people doing the work instead of making decisions you know nothing about.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Barton College full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Small, community environment; opportunities to develop career; professional development; growing organization.

    Cons

Institutional organizational issues; difficultly articulating a coherent vision; lack of in-depth benefits.

    Advice to Management

Barton needs a comprehensive vision that each department can identify, potential students can engage, and donors can support. Organizational restructuring would enhance that efficiency of the institution.
