I have been working at Barts Health NHS Trust full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great opportunity to learn and develop

    Cons

Not many developmental/promotion opportunities for BME
Alot of bullying from managers, site managers and bed managers. They talk to you like rubbish

    Advice to Management

Stop the bullying culture, and give jobs based on experience and skill, not who you're buddies with

    Pros

there is a family feel, most staff are willing to give a helping hand to others and everyone is supportive of each other.

    Cons

Occasionally poor organisation although this is mostly down to being such a huge organisation.

I have been working at Barts Health NHS Trust full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Several policies that protect the employee with many work-life balance initiatives.

    Cons

Some of the hospitals are quite old and require renovation. Much politics in all departments.

    Advice to Management

Your job is quite challenging, and I appreciate that it is difficult to keep bullying at bay with more than 8000 members of staff.

    Pros

Very little pro's to comment on in this trust

    Cons

Dire financial situation, near impossible to fight through bureaucracy to get anything done, workload completely overwhelming and most departments failing miserably to hit targets. Really poor decision making from senior management with little or no consultation or advice sought from teams effected. Trust is in a downward spiral.
