I have been working at Bass & Associates full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The atmosphere is positive and employees are encouraged to contribute to the goals of the company. It is a high pressure environment as goals are aggressive and the business operates in a highly competitive environment. I think the owners really care about the people that work for them and provide generous perks such as free lunch etc. There is opportunity for growth within the company if you are willing to work for it. The company will train if it is pertinent to the job.

    Cons

The medical benefits are not the best, and the company could provide a 401K plan. Dress code could be a little more relaxed, other than casual Fridays.

    Advice to Management

More communication with staff about goals and successes.

I have been working at Bass & Associates full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Bass provides a cultivating environment to ensure rapid career growth for individuals who are positive, self-motivated and have strong work ethic without the need for constant supervision. The ability to deal with change is a must!

    Cons

Individuals who require constant supervision and lack the ability to think outside of the box tend to fall out. No room for "doom & gloom" type personalities

I worked at Bass & Associates full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Easy to get your foot in the door

    Cons

no growth, negative outlook, poor company culture, etc
Prior reviews covered the core issues.

    Advice to Management

When a company is going to place a bogus review online it should try and space them out. Two 5 star reviews posted on the same day as well as having both reviews read as a veiled job posting.

I worked at Bass & Associates full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Frequent free food in the breakroom, some of the staff is nice

    Cons

Toxic management, employees are kept in the dark except for when advanced goalposts are dumped on them, aggressive atmosphere, stated open-door policy but a refusal to listen, inflexibility to employee needs and requests, general sense of dread when interacting with supervisors. Considering that it's collections, there's no positive goal to work towards or any real sense of community to properly foster - the company is obviously geared towards making a profit for the owner with some limited trickle down for upper management and department heads, with individual collectors or lower level supervisors being beholden to those whims.

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to shove everyone into molds and boxes that fit with whatever power management course you've taken, and actually try working with people holistically.

    I worked at Bass & Associates full-time

    Pros

They are extremely flexible with schedules, any other company would not accommodate. They are actually pretty friendly.
Management comes and talks to employees as well as the Owner is also like that.

    Cons

They recognize the hard work you put in but yet don't offer any raises - so don't bother asking.
There is a extreme case of favoritism, like other reviews put - "Bass Club" is still active.
There are employees there that HR tip toes around because they don't want any kind of law suite.
They expect people to hit goals, and some exceed but do not get anything for it.

    Advice to Management

If you want to keep good hard working people there listen to the outbound interviews and improve what everyone points out - RAISES & 401K!

Happy employees means more money for the company!!

    Pros

The schedule in the accounts department worked 4 10 hour shifts which was nice. The work is repetitive but goes by fast.

    Cons

    can't think of any cons

  7. "bullying"

    StarStarStarStarStar

    Pros

There is no pro's. I can't think of one good thing to say.

    Cons

This place is a joke! Management allows the team leads to bully you on your second day of employment on performance!! They also call you out on your mistakes by yelling at you on the floor. Management does nothing to get the team lead to stop bullying you. They are a click and if you are new you don't belong.

    Advice to Management

There is no advice. Nothing can help this place.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like no Other and they will treat your customers like no Other. Have an open door policy.

I worked at Bass & Associates full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Flexible scheduling, decent vacation time, good starter job for experience, just don't stay long

    Cons

Poor management, favoritism, no growth opportunity, lack of recognition, no raises-ever, absolutely no job security as you can be let go anytime with no warning, computer systems outdated and limited access as they do not want to pay for licenses.
Expect doors to closed soon with no notice

    Advice to Management

Eliminate all management and hire new management that know what they are doing. You want a quality company, you have to pay and support quality employees

    Pros

Still in business (for the moment)

    Cons

-- No communication to employees about true condition of company, active lay-offs happening with no warning, losing client base, stressful environment, no reviews, no raises severe lack of training, broken promises, people are expected to perform jobs and met goals yet are not given the training/supervisor support or information needed in order to do so.

--Computer system (RMS) severely outdated and hampers ability to do job, basic computer programs (Word, Excel, etc..) prohibited as company has no funds to pay license fees.

    Advice to Management

Be truthful to employees about sinking business situation.
