    Pros

Still in business (for the moment)

    Cons

-- No communication to employees about true condition of company, active lay-offs happening with no warning, losing client base, stressful environment, no reviews, no raises severe lack of training, broken promises, people are expected to perform jobs and met goals yet are not given the training/supervisor support or information needed in order to do so.

--Computer system (RMS) severely outdated and hampers ability to do job, basic computer programs (Word, Excel, etc..) prohibited as company has no funds to pay license fees.

    Advice to Management

Be truthful to employees about sinking business situation.

I worked at Bass & Associates full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Steady hours. Decent pay.

    Cons

Owner acts like a bully and constantly issues "warnings" to entire departments to raise target goals...which are pretty unreasonable. The hours remain the same but the days/times switch without warning. Was constantly warned about how interchangeable employees were.

I worked at Bass & Associates full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Monthly Lunches Catered
    Yearly Holiday Party
    Flexible Schedule

    Cons

Unprofessional, Micromanaged, Must be in the "Bass Club" to get anywhere in this company. Managers and Owner influence their co-workers how to vote in a Presidential Election year

    Advice to Management

Allow HR to do their job. Complaints are rampant with sexual harassment, racial and sexual preference discrimination.
You would think being a Law Office, they would comply and remedy such complaints among coworkers and management.
Performance means nothing unless you are in the "Bass Club" (socializing with Managers and the Owner outside of work).
Disorganized Bonus offerings. Management says you will get X amount if you meet certain goals. Goals are met and then Owner does not want to pay out.

I worked at Bass & Associates full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Decent wages for Southern Arizona
Multiple Locations Central, West and North West
Monthly Free Lunch to celebrate Birthdays
    Is Hiring

    Cons

Worked with the company for almost three years. Received no raises, no cost of living increases and no reviews. Management had a habit of lying to the department, could not schedule work efficiently and constantly set unreasonable deadlines. They played the drinking buddy game with select individuals.

Senior management at times would publicly humiliate employees that displeased them by yelling at them in meetings and the halls, the company is micromanaged to the point that having managers was useless.

Benefits were OK for single employees, almost a grand per month for married employees and pretty much the cheapest that the company could find without passing any form of savings to the employees. Human resources constantly enforcing policies that did not exist, violating OSHA laws at whim.

Management constantly belittling staff, the turn over rate higher than most companies ten times the size due to the negative work environment, bad hours, lack of advancement unless you are friends with management, lack of raises and just general lack of acknowledgment of doing a good job.

The only reason they stay in business is they are a debt collection agency. However the owner does not acknowledge the work her employees does in order to generate her profit, preferring to keep the bulk of it for herself while bleeding people up to 7 - 12 per month at any given time.

    Advice to Management

Send all management including owner to management training, anger management training and sensitivity training. Actually reward employees that work hard for the company and are loyal.
