I worked at Bath & Body Works part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I met some really talented and caring employees and managers. Truly understand that you are real people and have other things going on in life.

    Cons

Rotating schedule where you're expected to work every weekend. Can be "catty."

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the bad employees.

I worked at Bath & Body Works full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great healthcare benefits, awesome at community outreach and you have lots of chances to donate and give back to local organizations

    Cons

A little disorganized at times so that can lead to very long nights. Very fast changes are expected even if the timeline doesn’t necessarily allow for it.

I worked at Bath & Body Works full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free Product (w/ conditions), above normal pay for the sales associates, closed on easter and xmas.

    Cons

Where do I begin... they tell you all kinds of fluff like no max on bonuses, great hours, free stuff. Then they find a loop hole to not pay the bonus, the operating hours are fine but the things they make you do when the store is not open like work till 3 or 4 in the morning were not told up front. free stuff but it cant leave the store it must stay and be used to demonstrate on customers it's notactually yours even though they say it is.

    Advice to Management

change everything about the way you sell the company in the recruitment, interviewing and hiring stages.

I worked at Bath & Body Works full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Absolutely amazing people. You will work with very kind, smart, cool, funny etc people at this company and they really make it great.
The product is also a plus.
Great experience in terms of learning; you will learn a lot and grow and have to work in a fast-paced environment

    Cons

    Stuffy corporate culture
Your team's culture and work-life balance will be determined by the manager/director/VP you end up with; there is a big variety in how this can end up.
    Discount is not that great
Don't encourage or support career mobility to different parts of the business
Quite stingy as a company in how they deal with and treat and spend on their associates

    Advice to Management

Consider the effect leaders and HR partners have on culture. Consider what the "unofficial" culture is being taught as. Don't apply the frugal mentality to dealing with your employees.

I worked at Bath & Body Works as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

The onsite food options - the cafe - are good, but can be limited depending on their level of staffing.

    Cons

There is no team comradery, contractors are isolated from their teams, and there is little to no guidance when first hired. Also beware: they will terminate you and give you a vague reason as to why you were terminated and not show you evidence or give you the opportunity to defend yourself. When you're terminated, you're put on the no hire list throughout all of l brands.

    Advice to Management

If there are particular aspects of your company policies that are of extreme importance, perhaps you should verbally tell new employees of them as a common courtesy. I'd also suggest condensing your company guidelines documents so new hires actually read them.
