I worked at Bath & Body Works as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

The onsite food options - the cafe - are good, but can be limited depending on their level of staffing.

    Cons

There is no team comradery, contractors are isolated from their teams, and there is little to no guidance when first hired. Also beware: they will terminate you and give you a vague reason as to why you were terminated and not show you evidence or give you the opportunity to defend yourself. When you're terminated, you're put on the no hire list throughout all of l brands.

    Advice to Management

If there are particular aspects of your company policies that are of extreme importance, perhaps you should verbally tell new employees of them as a common courtesy. I'd also suggest condensing your company guidelines documents so new hires actually read them.

I worked at Bath & Body Works part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Couldn't ask for a better company to work for! The company culture is great and they provide a lot of incentives which makes you feel appreciated! Loved working here!

    Cons

They do call-in shifts which is inconvenient when trying to plan schedules around work.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work and the awesome company culture!

I have been working at Bath & Body Works part-time

    Pros

A LOT of free merchandise. I had a whole collections of bbw products when I left and the discount is great

    Cons

Management varies ALOT. We had a manager turnover and their styles were a 180. All but two girls quit so the new manager hired a whole new staff

    Advice to Management

Treat employees are individuals. Teach them how to fix what they are doing wrong. Don't make it such a competitive atmosphere

I worked at Bath & Body Works (Less than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers and supervisors were great. They really helped teach you the different products.

    Cons

When you have call-in shifts it ruins your day on a personal level. you have to call an hour before your shift is scheduled to find out if you are needed or not. This made it hard to plan out the day.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Bath & Body Works full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work with fun people and great products. Enjoy working with customers to help them find their fragrance and to try new things.

    Cons

Work 3 out of 4 weekends per month, but that's retail. Upward mobility to home office is limited, even if you have degree or prior experience. Holidays are fun but also a lot of time away from the family. To get the best pay, you need to work at a high volume store.

    Advice to Management

Company has increases base pay across the board for all levels EXCEPT Store Manager. Offer monthly bonus that is very hard difficult to attain. One bad plan day can ruin a whole month and is out of your control.
