I worked at Bath & Body Works part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There's a great environment, perfect job for a team player, additional employee discounts and you get to try all new merchandise before anyone!! You smell good all the time.

    Cons

You need to have open availability to get more hours per week, if you change your schedule they reduce your hours big time. Payroll budget, it's more convenient to have you work only 4-5 hours a day. Watch out for the "call in shifts"

    Advice to Management

Promote employees that really deserve it.

I worked at Bath & Body Works part-time

    Pros

BBW's parent company, L Brands (formerly Limited Brands), really takes care of its employees. As a part time employee, I enjoyed a flexible schedule, safe and clean work environment, and lots of fun perks, like free samples of products! I enjoyed the camaraderie as well as interacting with customers.

    Cons

It is a retail position, so especially around the holidays, things get crazy. I was hired as seasonal around September 2012 and worked an average of 15 to 20 hours a week until January, when things slowed down - I was then scheduled for 0-4 hours a week.

Very floral smell can lead to headaches, high on selling dollar products and monthly promos adds pressure to working the register.

I worked at Bath & Body Works part-time

    Pros

It was fun during the time of Black Friday and Semi-Annual Sale. You learn alot with selling techniques and get to know your co-workers well

    Cons

The "call-in" shifts give you no room to plan around it. This makes it difficult to know if you're going to have a good paycheck or not if this is all the shifts you have.

    Advice to Management

Try to schedule people for concrete shifts instead of doing call shifts.
