I have been working at Bath & Body Works part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Part time employee PTO, good benefits depending on hours, knowing sales first, knowing product first.

    Cons

    Low pay for responsibilities given.

    Advice to Management

I'd like to see the company stick with one set of rules. And make sure that every single store is following them, as well as being able to back up policies that customers don't agree with, rather than making it the store's faults.

I have been working at Bath & Body Works full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Pay
    - Benefits (401k, Health Insurance, ect.)
    - Opportunity to grow within the company

    Cons

    - No work life balance.
Schedules are made only a week out and can sometimes be late.
During the holiday/semi-annual sale, home office LOVES to send "mid-theme updates." Meaning you'll be changing marketing, and setting up tables- they will give you a few hours so that you can call extra associates and stay later than what you were scheduled. Thing is, they send them so last minute that hardly anyone is available.

    - Payroll.
Not enough payroll to function when it comes to smaller volume stores. I should never have to be by myself. One it's not safe, two think about LP and three think about customer service. I've had multiple customers who were shocked that I was the only person in the store working. Another thing is I'm tired of having to stay late all the time and having to come in last minute due to poor planning from home office.

    - Training.
This company provides tools and videos for you to learn... However, when do you get the time!? I've learned a lot on my own and in the moment. This company believes in *sink or swim" kind of training.

    - I hate hearing upper management gossip. It's distracting and doesn't make anyone feel good.

    Advice to Management

    - Schedules should be out two weeks in advance.
    - Whoever is in charge of mid-theme updates need to give stores a week or TWO in advance to schedule the right people/prep time.
    - Make it a rule that there should always be TWO people in the store at all times.
    - Give smaller stores more payroll.
    - Stop scheduling associates based on sales per hour.
    - Add more payroll for training and developing associates/managers.

You guys are losing good talent because a lot of us good people want to be home with our families. I also think it's wrong that some stores are open on Thanksgiving. Shame on you!

I have been working at Bath & Body Works part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone is super nice at my store. I once had a pay problem that was my fault and they were super nice to get it figured out.

It is a perfect place for college students. They are super flexible with hours and they completely understand when things come up.

I get paid great seeing as I am a part time college student. ($11 hour)

My team works together to get things done and we are willing to help each other if they need it. I can tell that we all care for each other outside of work.

I love working here and even though the holiday is coming up I know we will countinue to have positive attitude toward one another.

We also get really good discounts at all L brand stores not just BBW. And we get gratis on some of the new products every once in a while.

    Cons

There are not too many cons for my experience working there.

The costumers are typically in a good mood but of course you will always have some that are going to get mad.
Coupons are the main struggle with this due to our policy they can’t mix their physical coupons with emailed coupons which can get people mad.

Floor sets can mess with your emotions. You may get overwhelmed at first but with the right team they should be fine.

MPOS devices are the worse to use. They are basically iPods that has put POS system on them so that people paying with cards can go in one line while people with cash can pay in another. However that idea is good the devices themselves always mess up.

We also have headset we wear to communicate with one another but at my store they always mess up or break so we currently only have three.

All my cons are very minor and would not make or break the job or make you hate it.

    Advice to Management

Please fix our devices we need them desperately.
