I worked at Bath & Body Works part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I felt the job was fun and rewarding and I felt I was able to sell a product I believe to be of quality. I learned a lot about customer service and the value in hard work.

    Cons

Slow days were extremely boring and floor sets were quite tedious

I have been working at Bath & Body Works part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I absolutely love it. It's (usually) a very friendly and laid back environment. My coworkers are great and most of my management is great too. We are like a big family. Pay is good and so are discounts (more so at VS than bath because they already have a lot of good sales that you can't combine employee discount with). It's not a very hard job. All I mostly do is talk to customers, restock shelves, and sometimes run a register. Plus you get lots of awesome stuff every month. We've gotten full size body creams and lots of fun size sprays.

    Cons

They don't have many hours to give. I haven't struggled with this as much because I'm good at selling so I get pretty consistent hours. This isn't the job for you though if you're planning to pay all the bills from it. Another con is that it can get quite competitive when it comes to SPAH (sales per associate) because everyone wants a high SPAH so they can get more hours.

    Pros

This job is great for gaining customer service and sales experience!

    Cons

If you don't want to do a lot of lifting/stocking, it may not be the job for you.

I have been working at Bath & Body Works part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fast paced, if you love the product it's really easy to sell.

    Cons

Commission based without commision. Makes it competitive. It's not a complete con because it's nice.

I worked at Bath & Body Works full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Team. All the locations I worked at where very team oriented. We helped each other, achieving goal was a team task not just left as a responsibility for the manager.

    Cons

Sometimes there can be a blind eye turned on bad managers due to work history with upper management.

I worked at Bath & Body Works part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I absolutely love bath and body works, I worked there every Christmas season and had the best crew/family to work with. Everyone had a wonderful flow and relationship, good vibes and an up beat and easy environment to work with. If you are great with the public and skilled with customer service, it is a great place to work! They have great incentives for being top seller.

    Cons

Once the management changed, the entire crew changed and the family like atmosphere was different. Maybe not in a negative way, but you also have to know your fragrances!

    Advice to Management

Be clear on the attire expected during the different days of sales! Other than that, keep up the great work!

I have been working at Bath & Body Works full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Mostly friendly environment that pays well. As as a Supervisor you get benefits (dental, vision, health, life) as well as 401k.

    Cons

With me being a Supervisor and not a Store Manager or an Assistant Store Manager 40 hours are NOT guaranteed. During the holiday seasons hours will flex up, but regularly your fighting for the 32 hours you have to have to keep your benefits.
