    the technology is old and there isn't anything new on the horizon.

    Get rid of the funnels and endless spreadsheets, try to get ahead of the curve in marketing

    LOTS of down / free time.

    Cons

    Even when a deadlines has passed five, or more times, the work still isn't behind schedule.

    Advice to Management

    Hold some of the employees feet to the fire. Make it look as though you are asking them to actually adhere to a schedule.
