    Pros

Shared values that are meaningful, like integrity and respect for people. Open communication, with suggestions taken seriously.

    Cons

Would have liked to see more enthusiasm from employees in general. People seemed to be content but the environment lacked excitement.

    Advice to Management

Find ways to motivate people, including team-building events

    Pros

This company truly does invest in their employees and tries to provide opportunities for development, advancement, and workplace flexibility. The culture is the biggest draw for this company - the people overall are genuine, caring, and try to make Baxter a great place to work.

    Cons

As others have mentioned, the systems are a little antiquated in places, which is surprising for a company of this size.

    Advice to Management

Provide better, more timely communication around key hiring and compensation changes.

    Pros

Great environment, flexible schedule, good experience, very relaxed environment, nice employees and even nicer management

    Cons

Pay was about average for the position, could make more elsewhere

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work as a company. Apply more effort in following up with interns after graduation to offer potential jobs if the intern would make a good fulltime employee.

I worked at Baxter full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good compensation package
    Life saving products

    Cons

Complex systems, high bureaucracy, slow to adapt

    Advice to Management

Find ways to simplify things. So many processes are burdened with non-value-added junk. Lean it out!

I worked at Baxter full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of options. Baxter is a big company so there's plenty of opportunities

    Cons

Big companies have too many bureaucratic policies/procedures.

    Advice to Management

Someone at a higher pay grade does not necessarily mean that they should have more authority to make decisions against various functions. Baxter needs to eliminate condescending and rude leaders.

I have been working at Baxter full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Baxter is committed to training and career development. If you live near a facility or are willing to relocate, this company is worth looking at. With the diversity in departments and divisions, if one area doesn't work for you there is usually another that you could move into to continue your career path.

    Cons

Given the number of employees this company has, it does not have a large volume of alternate work situations (flex hours. job share, work from home).

    Advice to Management

Consider extending hiring requirements to include an option for a combination of education and experience rather than just limiting positions strictly to those individuals with a bachelors degree or higher.

I have been working at Baxter full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

most of the people, lack of supervision, turnover (always meeting new friends),

    Cons

most of the people, lack of supervision, turnover (always training new people)

    Advice to Management

do it different, lose the bad managers ('bout 50%) check with me before hireing anyone' becuase you don't know what you are doing.so many people getting moving bonus and sign on bonus for a two year stint. Change it to 5 years for the money you are dishing out. Grunts need to work 5 & 10 years to get 3 or 4 weeks vacation and newbies come in with 4 or 5 weeks use that plus more then leave. Again check with me before hiring. Plus keep it more american and don't hire pregnant women. If you want to throw away money throw it at the semi dedicated employees before more of them leave.
Get rid of the mold not the good employees. Worst departments to work with because of attitude or lack of knowledge: RA TS QA Eng. Decent departments: SA Maint
