I have been working at Baxter full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good company. Decent pay for area. Room for growing in this company. Great benefits.

    Cons

Overworked. Underpaid. Management doesn't care about you. Promotes wrong people. To get promoted prepare to not have a life and stay 5 hours late everyday while brown nosing upper management. Understaffed severely. Takes forever to move up and interview for new positions. Culture not the best. Company is ALL about number of bags and how much money they can make regardless of what they try to tell you. Does not spend the money on facilities nor do they pay people for the job they actually do.

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting the wrong people and watch who really works hard

    Pros

The people (non-management) are great. Nice little town. A lot of exposure to many aspects and principles of manufacturing and manufacturing equipment. Working hard here gives you a lot of tools to be successful later in your career.

    Cons

The leadership has driven many great people away from once was a great company to work for. People that saw themselves retiring from this company all of a sudden couldn't stand for how the company now treated it's employees. The culture changed to one that doesn't recognize or appreciate good hard work. Whatever you can give is not good enough anymore. Senior leadership will say something and do something else.

    Advice to Management

You've lost focus. It starts with your people. Take care of them and they will take care of you. The people are not dumb, they see through lies and the fake. Priorities have to take into account the people performing them. They need to be given accountability and ownership so that they are engaged.

I have been working at Baxter full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay is pretty decent. However, the work is redundant and hard to do for 12 hours straight.

    Cons

Favoritism will always out weigh experience and qualifications. Makes it difficult to move into the position you are qualified for because of the favoritism. A position is usually filled with their friends or buddies before it is even posted. Non working, unreliable employees get moved up easily because departments want rid of them. The hard working employees get stuck there because the assistant supervisors can just walk around talking since the workers can do it all without supervision.

    Advice to Management

Some are decent, but others just do a lot of talking and get paid big money.
