    Pros

Pay is good, work is easy

    Cons

Be prepared to get walked off the lot any day, do not stick up for yourself
If you work here stay at Motel 6 without your family, you will have less to lose when they drop the hammer on you, unless you like to lick a mans boots you won't last

    Advice to Management

Keep hiring cheap labor, see where it gets you. You're gonna lose a boatload of cash I know it is all insurance money. When Trump gets in he will find you and snip you. He will tax the heck out of you. I already wrote him with MY documentation on how you treat injured workers

    Pros

Steady work, english speaking. Mostly dayshift if you lick right

    Cons

One person in the right spot, less than ethical, can take out your whole career.
Seriously, choose another place like Amgen, Astellas or Kite pharmaceuticals.
    Do not enter.

    Advice to Management

Stop the bootlicking and backstabbing. Since the Europeans took over, it is a cult of blame.
Constant finger pointing, so much energy is lost to reverse-problem finding and looking to hang someone for it. Good luck this year man, you lost a lot of original talent on purpose.

    I worked at Baxter full-time

    Pros

Benefits were great and always looking to standardize work flow. Tries really hard to gain merit in programs, awards, kaizens, etc.

    Cons

A majority of people I knew were great but very immature and takes everything personal. Unwelcoming cliques at work who will bully you if not liked. I'd be friends with some of these people but not work them again.
Although I was successful and high performing, I was scrutinized for many things that others were not, even with same cases. Anyway they could knock me down, they did it.
    Compensation was not great either..

    Advice to Management

people will try and get their way, not matter how it affects the product.. As long as they don't get caught or it keeps getting brushed off, they will keep doing it.

I have been working at Baxter full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good community of people with an understanding of our mission to improve the lives of patients. Stimulating work. More team-oriented than my previous work places. Culture of continuous improvement influences more high-functioning. Many bright, intelligent co-workers to handle our sophisticated and delicate workload.

    Cons

Very stringent and restrictive bureaucracy. Too many activities based on fulfilling the bureaucracy than providing product-driven, results-oriented value. Lots of redundancy. Too much concern with covering one's own butt. Becoming overly preoccupied with insubstantial things like no overtime work and covering metrics than accomplishments. Culture of continuous improvement contributes to convoluted and self-contradicting bureaucracy. Marginal incentives. Some stagnant workforce that have difficulty doing things other than how they've always been done.

    Advice to Management

Heed the advice of John Furey, Head of Global Operations, to develop problem-solving, results-oriented value than being mired in activity for the sake of activity.
Allow more flexibility for improvements in our systems to increase innovation and efficiency.

I have been working at Baxter full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very busy and business seems to be abundant

    Cons

I was hired at the TO location and my position as a MA I did not pay enough for somebody holding a chemical engineering degree.

    Advice to Management

Get to know your team members more. I felt like I was just another young face that people easily looked over.

I have been working at Baxter full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Little overtime required because they do not care until the situation is out of hand. When that happens they want you to provide something to keep them going. If you're lucky enough it's not a bad place.

    Cons

Envious and inexperienced technical managers afraid to lose their jobs. Back-stab, nit-pick and berating starts when the opportunity comes or if you mention/apply for better offers. Big turnover, nobody stands it. No growth and training unless you are below the manager's bullying radar. HR is only to cover management tracks and get you out of there at their most convenient moment... Beware!

    Advice to Management

Management only care for eloquent responses (until it get out of hand) than for results. This is a company of losers that couldn't make it anywhere else or people who want to move out from other companies and didn't have more options.

I worked at Baxter full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

great company and lots of growth potential with good compensation. Most people are wonderful to work with and there is a culture of collaboration. Corporate support is great!

    Cons

New site leadership is changing the culture and the environment is becoming a toxic. Many feel like it's management by fear and they are losing good employees quickly. This is creating high turnover. This not the case at all sites, but it is the case at the Thousand Oaks site.

    Advice to Management

Be open to views other then your own.
