I worked at Bay Cove Human Services full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The other employees at Bay Cove are genuinely wonderful people who want to do good in the world.

    Cons

Because of my pros stated above, this allowed the company to pay wages that no one could live on in Boston, unless you have multiple roommates and don't care about saving for retirement.

    Advice to Management

Do more than just pretend to care about safety concerns.

I worked at Bay Cove Human Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Getting paid weekly and the benefits but that's all but this job isn't a job if you have bills, it doesn't help you.

    Cons

The pay and the amount of work you have to do for a lil amount of pay! This job sucks

    Advice to Management

They need to stop treating people badly

I worked at Bay Cove Human Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I worked at BayCove Human Services for 4 years and loved both my clients and coworkers. It was a very collaborative environment.

    Cons

Unfortunately, in certain areas there is little room for growth, and I eventually left after hitting a (low) ceiling. The pay is very low and even promotions do little to change that.

    Advice to Management

I genuinely felt as if management was doing the best job they could. It's a non-profit, so there's a lot of burnout and the pay is going to be pretty low. Management took that in stride and always acknowledged the difficulties of the role, which was appreciated.

    Pros

Good organizational culture, good benefits, yearly bonus

    Cons

No growth opportunity or continuing education for nurses if you already got your BSN

    Advice to Management

Praise your staff often, give a pat in the back when job is well done, recognize employees that go above and beyond

I have been working at Bay Cove Human Services full-time

    Pros

Great work/life balance, ability to contribute and make a difference in the lives of the clients. Senior management listens and consistently works to improve processes and implements thoughtful changes. There are a vast number of services the agency offers, from early intervention to senior services. There are internal training opportunities for staff and clients. Bay Cove culture cares about the clients needs.

    Cons

Agency is decentralized making communication sometimes difficult but it continues to improve. With many work locations, you don't meet other employees, Bay Cove does host several events that bring employees together.
