I have been working at Bay Cove Human Services full-time

    Pros

Great work/life balance, ability to contribute and make a difference in the lives of the clients. Senior management listens and consistently works to improve processes and implements thoughtful changes. There are a vast number of services the agency offers, from early intervention to senior services. There are internal training opportunities for staff and clients. Bay Cove culture cares about the clients needs.

    Cons

Agency is decentralized making communication sometimes difficult but it continues to improve. With many work locations, you don't meet other employees, Bay Cove does host several events that bring employees together.

I worked at Bay Cove Human Services full-time

    Pros

    Good benefits
Decent pay for Crisis work (not anything to write home about)
A good way to develop clinical skills
Work with people who need mental health intervention the most

    Cons

    Really high turnover
    High stress
Upper management seemed a bit out of tune with what the frontline staff was doing.
You have to be very self motivated to do well.

    Advice to Management

Increase pay, make bonuses an actual yearly thing (not a maybe you'll get it maybe you won't depending on if we feel like it), increase individual supervision, improve opportunities for career development, just provide more support for staff in general.

I have been working at Bay Cove Human Services full-time

    Pros

The agency is pretty big on Flexibility. The team environment, is great to work with. There is great growth opportunity in agency

    Cons

Typical systemic issues of human services/mental health sector. Pay could always be more for employees given the case load and work. ( the flexibility helps a lot with that)

    Advice to Management

Continue to check in with employees and refine working environment and supports
