    Cons

German run company, not always open to the rest of the worlds point of view.

Act in a more global manner if you truly want to consider the company global

I have been working at Bayer (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Talented coworkers, competitive pay, opportunities for travel, and fantastic benefits. Many opportunities to change jobs and try new areas/departments. CropScience is a great place to be, but Business Services not so much.

    Cons

The Monsanto deal has created a significant amount of uncertainty, so talented people are leaving the company now and will continue to do so over the next 12-18 months. People managers are wildly inconsistent; the best manager I ever had is at Bayer, but also the absolute worst. Meddling and micromanagement from Germany is beyond silly.

    Advice to Management

Please train your people managers to the same standard so there is far less disparity in basic management skills.

I worked at Bayer full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great medical benefits, good work culture, leadership very transparent on big decisions, great discounts on Bayer OTC medication.

    Cons

Not competitive bonus structure. Technical strength and focus is more in the pharmaceutical and drug industry and less in the medical device sector.

    2. Competitive Salary
    3. Company keeps finding new areas for growth
    4. Work Culture & Company Ethos are very good. Employees are treated well.

    Cons

    1. Being a large company, sometimes changes take time to percolate & take effect.

    Advice to Management

Provide mentors to all employee's & publish career ladders for all departments.
Promote cross departmental movement of employees.

  8. "Contractor Discrimination"

    Pros

A paycheck. No PROs except you may think your moving along but depending upon what department you get your luck lays there .

    Cons

Biologics Dept is the worst to be employed with . It is different than most departments at Berkeley if you are offered to temp with them DO NOT it's a waste of time . They kept promising to hire me and then lied in the end . Bullying and Hazing is part of the LIFE values at this dump so don't expect anyone to care about your misfortune. Reported to mentally unstable team who could not do their job roles and took it out on contractors and junior staff. Nepotism is another LIFE value there seems like everyone is related to someone there. Don't bother temping unless it's in supply chain the management is more competent .

    Advice to Management

Take a look at your crumbling infrastructure
