I have been working at Bayer full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great 401k and benefits. Competitive salary. Management has been sincerely interested in employee development and will invest in you if you are willing to take initiative. Innovation focused company. Will let you run with a good idea if you feel like champion-ing it.

I have strong positive impression of upper management in It in Pittsburgh area and in my direct supervision

    Cons

German company so sometimes I have conference calls around 6 or 7:00 AM.

Some opportunities for advancement might require relocation.

I am still not sure about the Monsanto acquisition

    Pros

Gute Einarbeitung, spannend Tätigkeiten, Einblick in Großkonzern, eigenständiges Arbeiten möglich, flexible Zeiteinteilung

    Cons

Komplizierte Hierarchien und lange Entscheidungwege, dauernd neue wechselnde Aufgaben sodass ein eigener Aufgabenbereich leider Ausblieb

    Advice to Management

Bayer ist ein erfolgreicher Großkonzern und in jeder Hinsicht zu empfehlen. Man wird auch als Praktikant wertgeschätzt und kann sich miteinbeziehen.

I worked at Bayer full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Advice to Management

Faire évoluer la politique de l'entreprise en ce qui concerne la relation au travail en développant temps partiel, home office, jobsharing...

I have been working at Bayer full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent company to work for, no guarantees but they take pretty good care of you. Fairly competitive salary, good 401k match, safe place to work.

    Cons

Tough schedule, we rotate 3 days on 3 days off 5 am to 5 pm then 5pm to 5am. Sometimes the company seems unwilling to work with employees to make it a better place to work. I feel the pay could be better for the duties we perform

I have been working at Bayer full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great salary , good benefits could have more paid time off.

    Cons

The plant is large and many departments do not work together as a team. At the end of the day the top mangers only care about their departments. Supply chain is a joke for a company this size. The scheduling and forecasting all runs down hill and creates chaos
