I have been working at Bayer full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great public image
    Competitive benefits
    Great employee retention

    Pros

Great co-workers and many opportunities for training and development. Very respected company with excellent products. Pretty competitive, strong benefit package.

    Cons

A lot of process and complexity, which makes it hard to get things done. Flat structure without a lot of opportunity for advancement.

I have been working at Bayer full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent company to work for, no guarantees but they take pretty good care of you. Fairly competitive salary, good 401k match, safe place to work.

    Cons

Tough schedule, we rotate 3 days on 3 days off 5 am to 5 pm then 5pm to 5am. Sometimes the company seems unwilling to work with employees to make it a better place to work. I feel the pay could be better for the duties we perform

I have been working at Bayer full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great salary , good benefits could have more paid time off.

    Cons

The plant is large and many departments do not work together as a team. At the end of the day the top mangers only care about their departments. Supply chain is a joke for a company this size. The scheduling and forecasting all runs down hill and creates chaos

I worked at Bayer full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Salary
    Benefits
    Ergonomic quality very good
    work life balance
    vacation package

    Cons

    clique-ish
    favoritism
advancement not based on knowledge, experience, or work ethic
those that go to happy hours frequently with the boss are favored over less 'flashy' or 'loud' employees

    Advice to Management

Directors should really stop by unannounced to their direct reports' offices and departments to see for themselves the unprofessionalism that goes on in some departments. It's unfortunate as I have seen very talented people leave due to a few UNtalented managers.

I worked at Bayer full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good Vacation and sick time. Decent pay, education assistance, ability to WFH, summer day camp for kids, expat programs for those who are interested.

    Cons

The first 4.5 years were great. Then they re-organized & I got assigned to a horrible, soul crushing boss.
HR nothing to help employees. They will protect upper mgmt fiercely, even if you have a hard case of evidence that you have been treated unfairly & caused emotional & physical distress. I found out later this has happened many times. HR sweeps it under the rug until either the employee leaves or they are fired.

No room for advancement and they will roadblock even a lateral move you may want to make.
