Good Company but lots of corporate red tape
May 24, 2023 - Analytics Developer in Temple, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Overall I loved working with those on my team. Everyone was knowledgeable and will to help out wherever needed. I learned a lot from my teammates. Great work life balance and PTO was good.
Cons
If you don't have a degree there is only so far you can grow with the company. Even with a number of years of experience there is a cap to the level of a position you can hold and you can't be promoted to different levels without one. Managers have to fight with HR to retain quality workers without a degree.

Pros
I love the culture at Baylor. The policies and procedures are very evidence-based. They were always looking for ways to improve.
Cons
The nurse-patient ratio is too much for oncology. Never should be 5 patients per nurse. Even 4 is too much. This is especially true if you don’t have enough CNAs and have people that are weak and need help with so many things.

Biased Management
May 24, 2023 - Call Center Customer Service Representative in Round Rock, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Nothing good to say about the Round Rock location except if you are good at what you do, the management will keep you down.
Cons
The Round Rock management is biased, plays favorites with those that brown nose, hires family- nepotism. Three people went to the emergency room during a mandatory meeting and the management did not stop to check on how the employees were doing. Co-workers with medical training assisted them.

Management can be iffy
Mar 28, 2023 - Registered Nurse in Temple, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
-PTO accrues based on hours worked -Level 1 trauma center, lots to learn & experience -nurse residency for new grads -tuition reimbursement -pay is mostly good
Cons
-poorly staffed -level 1 so patients can’t be turned away regardless of staffing or conditions -it’s a business, more about money than patients it seems like -managers can be new nurses with hardly any experience -upper management doesn’t support staff at all -too much extra on your plate, you can’t focus on your patients, extra charting or paperwork for metrics -feels like you’re punished for your mistakes, units forcing staff to take extra classes or do modules for fallouts when fallouts are usually due to low staff
