I have been working at Baylor Scott & White Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Learn a lot working here, you are always encouraged to continue education, quality care for patients, lots of employee benefits.

    Cons

Always short staffed and not just one unit most, some management maybe a little questionable, and definitely not paid enough pay is low.

I worked at Baylor Scott & White Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent pay with almost too much opportunity for OT, good benefit options including health care and tuition reimbursement, great team work and a friendly group that willingly helped each other out. Great learning environment- it's a teaching hospital and level 1 trauma, so there are always things to learn.

    Cons

Poor work environment at times. Morale can get low because there isn't enough staff to comfortably cover when people are off, causing a lot of stress and extra hours. Good for the paycheck, but only for a little while before getting burned out. Little room for advancement or formal education as management doesn't work to get you into positions where you can cross train.

I have been working at Baylor Scott & White Health full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Decent work environment, health coverage and compensation.

    Cons

While the pros listed above are decent, they could be a lot better. Network infrastructure does not meet the needs of the research department.

    Advice to Management

Provide better health coverage, retirement plan and update network infrastructure. The performance review system is not fair. A 360 performance review would be more appropriate.

I have been working at Baylor Scott & White Health part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are ok but not the best.

    Cons

depends on the unit and how the manager handles things but the hospital is good overall.

    Advice to Management

Listen to all your employees don't just praise the RNs because everyone takes place in doing something that will help the patient.

I worked at Baylor Scott & White Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Always helpful and good with new employees. Great team environment. Good Doctors with lots of learning opportunities. Would recommend this job to new grads wanting to train in the operating room.

    Cons

Always short handed with limited resources. Because of this we always had to take extra call and work late shifts. The attendance policy is very strict without any understanding.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees.
