I have been working at Baylor Scott & White Health full-time

    Pros

I am not asked to work more hours in the week to accomplish all the work that needs to be done.

    Cons

Reorganization supports negligence, concerned for patient safety

    Advice to Management

Walk the walk. Please come visit lowest level employees to understand the sheer volume of work required to maintain a system of 10+ hospitals before splitting and pulling off employees. This reorganization is unsustainable and negligent in its application.

I worked at Baylor Scott & White Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits. That’s all that I can even think of. They make you feel like part of the family at first....DON’T BE FOOLED!

    Cons

HR department is a joke and will lie and stab you in the back the first chance they get. You will never feel like your job is “secure”. Turnover rate is so high that you see management bring in interview candidates on a daily bases...HUGE red flag. No one in upper management has ANY previous clinical experience and has no idea what it takes to successfully do your job as a nurse. Management will pretend to like you and then turn around and talk bad about you behind your back.

    Advice to Management

Hire/promote individuals with clinical/nursing experience to upper management. Don’t lie constantly to your employees, be more transparent. Stop trying to do “more with less”, it’s only ruining what Baylor once stood for. Give regular feedback to employees. I worked there over 3 months before I received any type of performance related feedback.
