I have been working at Baylor University full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Baylor University is a great place to work! By and large it's a place with appropriate procedures, professional support structures, and great people who want the best for you and the students. As an Academic Advisor you get to work one-on-one with students to help them achieve their academic goals. You also get to work with other administrative staff and program directors. And, a really nice perk of the job is, there's very few times where an Academic Advisor is required to work past 5:00pm.

    Cons

Like all University structures it's decentralized and can at times be confusing to navigate the proper procedures and channels necessary to achieve one's end goal.
