Nice guys to work around, free meals at a few (VERY few) of the events you work, good location for the office. The work is fun if you have fun with it.
VERY high turnover. This job is better for college kids who are looking for a little extra income, but say goodbye to your weekends most of the year. The equipment is old and they don't invest in better gear. They hire people at random that they find on Craigslist (yes, I'm serious) instead of hiring through real job sites because it's cheaper, hence the high turnover and lack of experienced employees. Your personal information doesn't get updated, even if you tell them the info is wrong. They tell you that you can have a yearly review to talk about your performance and increase your paycheck, but those take months to happen, IF they happen. Techniques and styles are outdated as they don't know who they are as a business, yet they've been around for over 30 years. Absolutely no benefits other than a tip here and there (maybe one event per year you'll get a tip), a nice meal once in a great while at events (most of the time you get vendor food instead of what the guests are eating), long hours for a small paycheck. They also claim to offer direct deposit, but 90% of the time, it's a live check because they can't get checks done in time. Paychecks are given out once a month. VERY little training, not because you don't need it, but because no one is there to train you. No opportunities for growth or advancement, despite what they tell you during the interview.
Advice to Management
INVEST! You can't grow a business if you don't put money into it. The way you're doing things is just going to leave you circling the drain. Save your profits and spend it on improving your advertising for experienced employees, buying better equipment and real training. Maybe take a business management class so you can know how to improve your business instead of being stagnant. CEO also needs to be much more involved.

Get you excited right away. Makes you think you will make big money.
They lie about everything. You never make any actual income. They only care about themselves making big bucks. They forget things all the time and don't care about employees at all. I'm surprised anyone works for them or hires them with all the weddings they have ruined.
Advice to Management
Care about the people who are actually working. As your pockets get fatter, they are working hard and not very happy. It's easier to keep employees than it is to rehire.
smart, nice people, understanding with time off and special needs, great location, try to make a decent work environment for employees
no management at all. company does too much business for their size, but no management to recruit and train new employees
