      Amazing!

      Pros

The culture here is amazing, the people are even more amazing. My first month here, felt like I had been part of the team for a year. Everyone is in tune with each other and respects each other’s creativeness. Support is ALWAYS there. Cultivating strong communication and relationships with teams across the board and 100% transparency. I could go on and on. The brand, the coaches literally everyone are so down to Earth, and truly inspiring.

      Cons

The team is growing and its very busy, but we have so much support and work life balance helps keep us refreshed. So, no cons here.

      It's what you make it

Feb 11, 2021 - Coach in Tampa, FL

      Business Outlook

      Pros

You are your own boss as a coach. The coaching opportunity is what you make of it. You can put as much or as little time into it as you choose.

      Cons

There are lots of coaches and to build a business you have to be proactive with connecting with potential customers.

      WORST COMPANY EVER

Nov 28, 2020 - Customer Support Specialist in El Segundo, CA

      Business Outlook

      Pros

The only pro there was about this job is that it was a contract position.

      Cons

Management is not coordinated with eachother. Favoritism, lack of communication from management. Indirect, do not provide constructive critism instead they are telling you you are doing a good job but never point out areas of improvement. The lied to my agency about my productivity. This has by far been the WORST company I have ever worked for and I don't even know where to begin. I waited months before writing this review after being let go to fully process my experience. The people who work for this company trully do not care about their coaches or customers. IF you show the slightest bit of care or remorse for their customers then you are not the agent they are looking to hire. Even if the company is at fault for an issue they will not fix the problem, as an agent for this company you are the barrier of bad news. Never expect to be able to provide a solution for customers. If you are assigned to calls, you are assigned to calls there is no cross-training unless they are short-handed and need assistance with chats. Seniority has schedule preferrance and they will not do a rotating schedule. I suggested that every opener should at least have one closing shift so every closer can have at least one opening shift so it can be fair and allow some flexibility however it was denied. Openers will knitt-pick at the incidents taking the easiest ones and leaving the toughest ones for the evening shift. HIGH TURN OVER RATE. The company pushes their employees to be competitive and compete against eachother for prizes and rewards it almost feels like a real-life hunger games. I do not recommend this job to anyone unless you are competitive, and enjoy delivering bad news.

      Confused direction

      Oct 8, 2019 - Distributor

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Set own hours relatively positive environment Great workouts Great mission statement

      Cons

Corporate has problems with business direction BEACHBODY also owns open fit- a competitor. Comp plan can breed a toxic environment Many distributors will slam each other behind their backs to benefit High turnover Overweight people trying to be fitness pros Company and distribution field uses lots of Rah rah and hype A huge amount of distributors are discount buyers. Coaches enroll anyone to hit a rank for their own benefit Much of the network are people new to MLM . The company focuses to much on recognition, and not solid proven business acumen for distributors to actually build something sustainable coaches are taught to spam people with Hey girl messages. Sub par technology for the field

      Pros

I love their products and BOD.

      Cons

Saturated all over the place with facebook challenges. No thank you. ..and annoying coaches who ruined it for everyone. Stop being so pushy. If you're not a fan of shakology just do not even bother.

      Work Hard, Play Hard

May 5, 2017 - Coach in Santa Monica, CA
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

There is a positive culture to the company based on health and wellness. You work virtually at your own pace and get back what you put in. You help people change their own lives while working on your own fitness goals. There are chances to earn free gifts, trips and meet new people.

      Cons

Your success is mostly focused on one product, Shakeology. Not all coaches can drink the Shakeology due to allergies or sensitivities to the many ingredients and very few options to promote or sell another product based on having a personal volume number that is really high. Can take a long time to make any real income and requires a lot more hours to be successful than they promote.

Bright future, fun company culture and rewarding work.

      Dec 28, 2017 - Director

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Amazing future, compensation, benefits and work environment. This company is really super fun, it rewards you for helping people have better lives. All our products, projects and initiatives have our company mission at heart. I feel like every step that is taken is to help everyone the company touches: customers, independent coaches, employees, trainers, and management.

      Cons

Travel required, intimidating name (LOL, you may think that you need to have a "Beach-body" to work here, but that is not true, all though you have a chance to do so if you like the idea. nutricional products, fitness programs are available to you as an employee.)

      Not a hobby job

      Sep 10, 2018 - Coach
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Income can be incredible, Build a team under you that you love, Give yourself every promotion you've ever wanted. This is a business built by recruiting. You can make money helping people lose weight but you make more recruiting a team under you to do the same thing. Management has nothing but the best intentions for coaches and customers

      Cons

It takes time to build a business, more than most people are willing to work. You can make a lot of money but you have to put in the hours. All marketing and advertising costs come out of your pocket so budget it from your income.

Find a different place....Too much employee turnaround happens for a reason..

May 7, 2013 - Anonymous Employee in Santa Monica, CA
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Free protein shakes in the kitchen and a gym that enables you to try the company's fitness videos.

      Cons

Bad management that is not in touch with the group. No promotions from within. Very political. Some upper management gets away with borderline illegal doing. Do not expect the company culture ("dude mentality") to remain the same, it has already changed. Many good people have left, and the turnaround is highly above industry standards. We used to see employees being let go without a legal cause, and the company would pay them severance to avoid legal issues. If you are considering a corporate job, avoid the reviews by the coaches... they are technically sales reps, and not real employees. If you want to become a coach, note that if you are not in the top of the pyramid you are wasting your time.
