I have been working at Beacon Resources full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have been in the Staffing/Placement industry for many years. Beacon is competitive yet collaborative. The team works together and there is no stepping on one another to get to the top. I enjoy learning from the other members of the team and everyone is willing to help each other grow. The Branch is focused on Finance and Accounting recruitment and has such a robust job order flow that I am often able to offer my candidates multiple opportunities.

I have worked for much larger, publicly traded companies that did not have this volume of opportunities to offer! Beacon is ideal for someone who likes recruiting/sales and does not want to be managed by metrics. We focus on outcomes and coaching people in a positive way to help them reach their goals.

The synergy with Beacon and the Parent Company DLC Group is awesome as well. DLC generates many high level opportunities for Beacon Candidates.

    Cons

We have a limited number of locations. It would be nice to expand into other cities.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work! You take good care of your people.

I have been working at Beacon Resources full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun culture, great management and mentorship. Good supporting cast with competitive atmosphere. Extremely fast paced.

    Cons

Sometimes un-realistic expectations in terms of covering open job orders. Need to hire more staff to keep up with clients needs. Office needs an update to reflect the success of the company, and where it has grown to. Still in old office from pre-acquisition days, some equipment is a little old.

    Advice to Management

Continue to develop employees to ensure tenure, be cognoscente of office culture when hiring, and be wary of bringing in veterans from competitors that will eventually change the culture of the company and lose some of what we have built in terms of reputation.

I worked at Beacon Resources full-time

    Pros

Offer good training, methodologies and practices to be successful in the recruiting biz.

    Cons

Have unethical practices, leadership is dishonest about the direction of the company. The team is operated like a shark tank, they pin recruiters up against each other, I had to threaten to take them to court to get paid my commission. Management is only focused on profit and how much money they can make off of you.

    Advice to Management

Take genuine interest in the success of the employee as well as the company and revenue.

I have been working at Beacon Resources full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Team! Strong "bench" of Subject Matter Experts to support the team.

    Cons

The company is in high growth mode currently and that in and of itself presents it's own unique set of growing pains. It is to be expected in a start-up environment.
